Wouldn’t be straight up, but something along your capdump theory, solve it all in one swing, shiny with cap sandwich, see how they chew on it.

I don't do these based on what I think the Sabres are going to do, nor should I. Give that nonsense up

Also I disagree "no one" would take him, especially if they retain. he can still produce and can provide veteran leadership

Overpay from BUF. Only a year remaining on that deal.
Actual price is probably a lotto protected 2025 1, a B prospect like Wahlberg and a 4th or 5th.

Konecny is certainly a target worth looking at, but unless he's coming with an extension, no way I would give up this much. If you could move Skinner for that, by all means do. Even at 7.5m, nobody is taking him, and he's not agreeing to move anyways. I'm not even going to get into somebody taking Skinner for his veteran leadership. I'm trying to make sense of Cole here, I understand wanting a veteran that is physical for the third pair, but he's gonna be 36, and he's yet another lefty, plus you still have ryan johnson and jokiharju here. If that's what you are going for, would it make more sense to move johnson and jokiharju for a better, younger version of Cole, maybe even a right shot one that could play with power, and then have Samuelsson play on the third line with Clifton. Roy, trenin, and Joshua all sound like very good ideas.

How do you and you alone know what Kevyn Adams is planning to do and what the market is for Skinner? You don't

These are YOUR WORDS, not mine

If u aren’t doing it “based on what u think the Sabres will do”
again, those are YOUR WORDS…. then what’s the point with the fantasy?

U might as well just do one where we trade for McDavid

I don't THINK Adams is going to move Skinner, but it also isn't impossible. Comparing that a McDavid trade in scope is ridiculous and laughable. I'm not the first user to trade Skinner in an AGM and I won't be the last so I don't rly know what to tell you. Much crazier and less realistic things are suggested on this site on daily basis

He’s not going anywhere as a 1 year rental that would make no sense and hamper the return for the flyers, that should be common sense

Well if that’s gonna be your baseline,
then good luck having any kind of constructive convo

There’s been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to suggest the Sabres want to move on from Skinner, has there been ?

He has a full no movement clause. There is no market for Skinner because there is no trade he will agree to. That’s pretty much the whole thing. And there’s no point in buying him out because then you’re just paying money for nothing. He’s still a 20-25 goal and close to 50-60 point player, not worth $9 million a year, but worth more than the cap penalty you’re paying to get rid of him.
