doubt it. It's not like AZ is south florida. Going to Salt lake is no big deal. It's actually probably nicer. A lot of winter sports people up there due to the skiing. They might have an actual fan base there.

Penguins accept, although I really doubt the Coyotes would make that offer unless Hayton tells them he won't play for them.

I don’t see Keller or Cooley requesting trades, maybe Schmaltz— but who knows. I chose Crouse as the guy that does in this post. Someone likely will.

Could add a pick coming back as well. I just don’t see a future for Hayton on this team.

I originally signed both Skjei and Montour but didn’t find that realistic. So I went for a trade. With Dobson needing a contract after next season I thought maybe that could make NYI entertain offers on Pulock.

Even if the Isles were to entertain offers on Pulock (unlikely - if they move a defenseman Pelech is probably more likely to go), the would need a better package than that, starting with a young player that can step in the lineup ASAP.

Also why are you trading one of your best two way centers for a declining winger in his mid 30s

Has nothing to do with the city

But going to a smaller fanbase, city, and having to get new ownership. i fell like most of the players would rather choose where they want to move

hard to say it's a smaller fanbase. AZ isn't exactly a hockey town and the arena issues led to there not really being fans. I think that improves in SLC.

Fact is there are a lot of perks. Better arena, practice facility etc... New ownership isn't always a "bad" thing. They basically get to reset. There are probably more perks than negatives to the move if you ask me.

while that is true, the arena was in the middle of nowhere so no one went to games, and phoenix area isn't exactly a hockey town.
SLC is surrounded by winter sports. Some of the best skiing in the country is there so it's not out of the blue to think those people are hockey fans.
There is also more than 200k people in SLS. It's like 1.3 million surrounding area. Given phoenix is about 4.7.
But you got to have those people go and watch. It's hard to say the yotes ever accomplished that.

I mean everytime ive watched them or been to there games its been really packed

They sold out every game this year and averaged 11k fans a game at Gila

I mean my understanding is their arena was what 5k people. 11k isn't exactly a normal NHL sellout. PPG for the penguins in small PIT, is 18.2k and it's always sold out.
It's not exactly a big city either only maybe 2 mil or so surround area.
My understanding was the yotes had declining attendance in Gila. The arena was part of it and the team was part of it. Like the Gretzky and Hull gimmicks that the fans really didn't appreciate instead of focusing on building a winner.
I don't know what to say, it is what it is. Maybe a new arena in a better location would have increased fan base. But it's hard to say the one they will get in SLC is smaller without actually seeing it at this point. As many teams like PIT show, it's not the size of the city but the willingness to go.

I can’t see Arizona/Utah moving Keller because there going to need a star to sell to a new market

I mean if he requests a trade they might not have a choice. Holding onto a player that wants out almost never works out well from what I’ve seen

The only time it did was Tarasenko I think
