Staios said the other day that the goaltending is better than what the numbers show.

And that he doesn't plan on buying anyone out.

With buyouts now off the table and Hamonic having a NMC, that means we're stuck with him.

At least it's better than Pierre Dorion's approach as GM.

Which involved, among other things, spending a high 1st round pick every year on the biggest name on the trade market.

But then again, the "Pierre Dorion approach" is a low bar.

We are not moving Samoskevich. Sourdif can be a replacement though.

Unlikely this year but I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes the roster full time next year.
