You're just showing disdain for Edmundson he was doing what he was supposed to. You have to do your job and trust your teammates to do theirs. That's 100% on Reaves

Edmunson does suck, to say otherwise is nonsense at his point. Reaves did make up for it later on.

Maybe if you had the cap to afford better depth players...

Maybe ,but to blame him for that 2-1 is just to use your word nonsense.
Did he really? Making the play that caused it to be 1-0 when Toronto was pushing is made up for by a play helping a late goal to make it 4-1 with no realistic hope for a comeback?

They did have the cap space to get better defenceman. Treliving spent it on Bertuzzi, Domi, Reeves and Klingberg.

For sure dude. Could've handed out 6 years to Graves or 7 to Mayfield lol.

A better coach would have a major impact. But yeah Treliving and Shanahan are also bad.

Could've not paid Tavares, Marner, and Matthews more than the market dictated they were worth at the time lol.

For sure bro. First $10M player to win a Cup just last season. Y'all have had three for the last five years. Average Cup team spends 35-45% of their cap on their top 5. You spend 60%.

... Definitely not that. tears of joy

It'll happen again and again. But your type wants to see TO lose more than your own team win. It's a sad sad stay of affairs.

That's a nice way of saying you have no rebuttal to actual facts.

You had a solid core and Dubas blew it signing them all to **** contracts. It's one thing to be upset about it. It's another to be in denial that their contracts are a large part of why they can't win.

It's not the actual dollars, it's the percentage of cap the top 5 take up 48005616 or 57.5% of their salary cap which leaves 42.5% for 18 players see the problem

What it's numbers. God bless them for getting it but everyone going for max dollars won't produce a winner. Top 5 really won't work above 45% even that's a max

None of them got max dollars. Going by cap percentage alone they got less than many players who are considered bargains. Matthews new deal is a smaller cap percentage than McDavid got when he signed his 12.5 million dollar deal. It's less than Crosby got when he got his last deal. Also after next season JT gets a major pay cut. But you guys ignore all that so you can chirp eh? It's very transparent and dumb

Ok so instead of understanding the point you make a grammatical argument. Who considers McDavid a bargain? He's paid fair market value if not overpaid at the time. And your picking out one player if you had one guy that's one thing but they have 5 guys averaging 11.5% of Toronto s cap. Any one of those contracts individually are high but definitely workable , however taken in total is the problem.

You missed the point entirely, likely on purpose. Look we both know how this is going to go. You are here exclusively to chirp leaf fans. You will say the stars are overrated and overpaid no matter what rational information is presented. You and your type do this because all you want to do is fight leaf fans. It's a sad waste of time.

No I'm not I'm dumping on their management. Mathews and Kucherov contracts started in 19/20 season Kucherov was coming off a 128 point season and signed 2.1 mil less than Mathews did Mathews get "Max dollars " no but as I was using it before yes. What's more important to Mathews winning or money? So I guess you brought me to dumping on the players too. Has nothing to do with the fans I feel about Toronto fans much like I did about Red Sox fans prior to 2003 lovable losers. Every fan base has their
A-Holes, but I don't dislike Toronto anymore than Detroit Ottawa Montreal Boston Buffalo the Panthers

York was our best defenseman for the second half of the year and Marner won't single-handedly fix our problems.

Just give up, you aren't winning this. No matter how much statistics and reasoning you supply.
