Trade Pieces Please

Description
How far is this off? Savoie, Kulich, Krebs or Ostlund would all be targets IMO. Buffalo prospect pool is number 1 and theres no way they can all fit in the lineup. Would PHI be able to get 1-2 peices for a package like this?

Sabres don't want Laughton. Should've traded him last year

Savoie and Kulich aren’t getting traded. If Buffalo works a trade with Konecny and/or Cates it would be with their 11th pick and one of Ostlund or Rosen.

TK starts with the 11th and Ostlund and Briere is going to want more than that or just re-sign him.

This one is way off lol they just be getting that for just TK alone let alone adding in Laughton, Cates, AND a 2nd.

These are THE 2 best Buffalo prospects. You're saying BUFF adds? I doubt it. This is all the positive impact guys PHI has to give. In exchange for two Gems. My rationale is that Adams starts to feel some heat and needs to find "culture builders"

Cap space for BUFF might be a problem, we'd probably have to take a cap dump back. But in reality, these types of trades never happen

No one is paying that much so I imagine they re-sign him

This is exactly the problem. I love TK, but we need to extract 1 high end prospect from his value. He's worth a lot to teams who can compete. I just dont think we can until we have 1-2 more actual high end pieces. Use him as fodder for young talent imo

Yeah I would definitely keep him. GMs won't pay two premium pieces only to dish out a huge contract for him. It just doesn't happen. Guentzel didn't even fetch a 1st. Flyers could just buy out Petersen, Johansen, and Atkinson and play their youth after paying TK.

TK should be bringing back a 1st and a good prospect minimum otherwise what the point? If we can’t get at least that for TK who is our best player we might as well just re-sign him because just giving him away for cheap isn’t going to help the rebuild.

They aren’t going to move Cates and they still are going to want a 1st for Laughton so yeah Buffalo would definitely have to add to this.

People forget Briere fleeced Columbus in the Provorov trade I don’t know why everyone on this site assumes Briere is just going to give all of his players away for cheap.

He wanted at least two 1sts and a prospect for TK last summer and has turned down a 1st for Laughton on multiple occasions.

Torts is also in love with Cates and he had a good end to the year this year after having Selke votes last year. His potential far outweighs his current value.

I agree I don’t think anyone will pay it and he will be re-signed cause Briere isn’t gonna give him away for cheap.

Rather just keep the prospects instead of moving them for used up parts. Filip Forsberg vibes

I think the Sabres are going to fit every single prospect you mentioned in their lineup at some point lol. Ostlund is 2 years away. Savoie will get a full year in the AHL. contracts will come off the books by the time they are ready.

Sabres are the wrong team to target
Unlikely to add a big contract when we have to pay Byram, Quinn & Peterka after next season

We also aren’t ready as a team to make a trade like this
Our young talent is most likely staying in our organization for longer
