Description

Scott oake is the hero of game 2.

Before the game he was Interviewing Kyle connor on the bench who was very pleased with the Jets game 1.

Then Scott asks what they are going to do differently against colorado because last year they won the first game vs Vegas before giving up 4 games straight to the eventual cup Champs...

At this point Kyle's face drops and doubt creeps into his mind.

I hope with the extra day Girard is in the line up. That being said I would seriously consider sitting JJ.

Really? I though jones has been notabley bad. I'd rather take JJ any day

Dude all JJ had to do was tie up schiefle and they wouldn't have scored that 2nd goal.

Or you think walker and jones girard and manson if JJ sits.

What do you mean he was pushing him with his stick the whole time, schiefle didn't have the puck, anything more was an interference penalty.

What about jones not being able to keep the puck in the offensive zone or in game one when he kept pinching and getting caught which led to scoring chances and goals against

And you talk about pinching. Look how many times makar has pinched in regular season which led to goals.

But since he's a superstar he gets a pass.

They're all pinching, makar gets a pass because he's a top 3 player in the league and makes 9 mill because of the fact he's so good offensively, jones is lucky to be on the team because of injury and should play more defensively.

But I'm talking about JJ playing better than jones at this point in the series and how Girard should come back and replace jones

JJ was entirely responsible for the 2nd goal, all he had to do was tie up his stick and he decided to instead play the body and his stick was no where near the passing lane. If JJ is getting muscled he doesn’t bring any value whatsoever because he is easily the worst skating d man. I mean I’m not going to die on the bench JJ hill, but I would just prefer Jones.

JJ is super strong, especially in the corners. At home he shouldn't see Scheifele ever. If the Jets try to chip & smash, I trust JJ to handle those board battles better than Jones. Plus he's due for a breakaway dangle goal.
