Description
I have seen no less than 6 ACGMs where people are trading Hronek. Why? Is it cap? I mean he's been fantastic and played well with Hughes, so why do people feel like they want to/have to trade him?

If you want a cheaper guy who can play with Hughes and a team with cap that can take on another guy you may want to move for cap freedom like Garland, call Boston.

The value is pretty fair. But if Hronek will sign for 7M the Canucks will likely sign him. And Garland has been one of our best forwards this season so not sure if we’d want to move him either

Younger defenseman with a higher ceiling? Move an unproven asset for a known one? Lots of reasons. I can't believe that you think it wouldn't make the team better, so what's the package that makes sense.

1 year younger is NOT a thing. A $7M-ish new cap hit for Hronek next deal basically punt's $3M out the door to get 1yr younger/move sideways!!
Garland is not a BOS-style of player and is overpaid.

Moving Lysell to go sideways IF not backwards; is backwards.
Carlo is playing out of his mind and next to Mac is BOS current "#2D" in the playoffs, on paper...

BOS' need is a #1C - neither is returned w/ VAN.
