Description

Unless the UFA is Stamkos, I don’t see the right UFA signing for the Habs. Maybe a little deal like this is the best move. One more year of struggle.

Maybe they add a RHS Dman.

But re-entering the market after next season is all about building the long-term contender. Hughes will know what Slafkovsky and Guhle will cost him. All the dead weight besides Gallagher is gone. Exciting times ahead for Habs fans for sure.

And maybe Mangiapane is resigned. Doesn’t seem likely but he’s around the right age range.

Kent Hughes isn’t paying to dump him
So he likely stays
Jordan Harris might get dealt because of our surplus of LHD.

But this offer is super lopsided
CGY don’t consider at all

I could see Calgary doing this. Mang not a long term fit. If they see Harris as #4 upside potential it’s worth taking on the Anderson contract. Anderson will be a strong trade deadline candidate if he can return to form.
