Easy yes from MTL provided he signs an extension in the trade.

For me it helps both teams now and I feel Canadian teams need to start working together a bit as we are getting unfairly treated by the American NHL company!
Even if we are in same division!

That's an incredibly high ask for a player with cap hit, trade protection and reputation. At least from a rebuilding team.

Mailloux? You could have gotten a better prospect than him (Hutson)
Also marner doesn't waive for MTL

I wouldn't be so sure he doesn't waive. He's become buddies with Suzuki and Montreal has a good thing going between Hughes treatment of players and MSL as coach.

I am not sure, Marner likely wants to compete, And MTL isn't competing until 2026

Habs decline.

Hughes has explicitly on multiple occasions talked about the pressure of playing in mtl and the kind of players needed to succeed here and marner being told to stop crying on the bench by teammates doesnt strike me as a high mental fortitude player(on top of his soft playoff play)

Maybe Marner just needs someone like Hughes to help him, because TML management is a joke and have no clue what they are doing to have mis-managed all our assets this bad!

Mailloux has all the tools to be a two way player and at worst a pain in the arse to play against defense that TML need.
Very good size , skating , shot and NHL ready, Hutson is interesting but TML need a Righty more so either Mailloux or Barron most likely .

Obviously I can get behind Marner the player, but I just don't feel his contract would be a good thing for MTL. The bar is set right now with Suzuki at $7.8M, Marner will probably seek a raise on his current $11M and it just breaks the culture a bit I think.

Aside from the obvious talent, how does Marner fit in with MTL's team build? You've got Suzuki and Caufield as right handed guys for PP1 - so Marner would have to bump one of them realistically and I'm not sure that helps seeing as MTL is already invested in those two players for the next 6 and 7 years at least.

Just picked on MTL because they have so many young right hand defense and good amount of picks to work with .
Could be any team with a young right defense or goalie or maybe even a center and picks.

Yeah MTL does, but in the same token they don't really. Mailloux and Reinbacher are promising. Barron and Kovacevic are decent. Konyushkov is a dark horse from the KHL, but they aren't as deep at RHD as someone might think (if you were to trade one). That said they could potentially draft another RHD this year too.

Why would you get 2 goalies, When Woll is already a NHL Goalie?
