The sharks just went through a generation of players who couldn’t perform in the playoffs, they want to never experience that again. This would not only be stupid but be adding unproven playoff player who would also be gone before they made the playoffs…

As much as I want Auston to eventually wear teal, this trade is terrible for the Sharks. Losing the lottery pick we have that will be no lower than #3, Smith (who has been neck and neck with Celebrini in the NCAA), and an additional 1st round in 2025 is frankly too grave of a cost and I would absolutely hate for us to give all those hard earned assets up. The Sharks are much, much better off waiting a few seasons (until 2026 at the very least). Until then, this trade is a hard NO.

It’s sad but true. He’s a damn super hero in the regular season and invisible in the playoffs
