Pretty sure there's plenty of dip****s criticizing his Kasper and Danielson picks who were rating highly in, *Checks notes*, compete.

Keep making dumb **** arguments, though. tears of joy

It's always a good sign that your argument is going great when you're so riled up you have to throw around insults in every response.
But hey, dont worry, the wings might make the wild card before your amazing 7 1st rounders are all in their 30s. I hear they are competitive

There's not much else to throw around, you're not providing anything of substance to discuss.

I asked you to tell me about the other cheap, short term RHD options we could've grabbed last year and you gave me nothing. So you get insults. Get over it, ****. tears of joy

I absolutely adore how you think signing 31 year old holl to 3.4x3 is excusable because the market is thin, you do realize that nothing was better than a guy who cant even make such a bad roster, right? And if Yzerman was so good at judging compete then be wouldnt have blundered so bad.
But then he does helm a team that cant even compete against the likes of the Washington capitals, so maybe he doesnt actually understand that word

Hate to tell you this, but Holl was penciled in the roster, then Petry became available. (Who also sucks, BTW) Made Holl expendible.

But it's adorable that you're in here trying to talk **** while your team has as many 2nd round appearances in the Cap Era as... Seattle. tears of joy

Hate to tell you this but your gm signed a contract that everyone knew was bad from day one except him and getting another bad player in a bad trade who doesnt have compete either doesn't make it better.
Maybe yzerman should get some guys who can compete

Hate to tell you this but, as stated on the original reply about your big Holl "Gotcha", Yzerman signed a plug lol.

Big nutdrag bringing up a 3 year $10M contract lol. Worry more about your front office continuing to commit 60% of their cap to 5 players who have zero success.

So again, if yzerman is so keen on compete why does he keep bringing in guys who are plugs?
You keep dancing around this and trying to use insults to derail the conversation but you have no response other than some irrelevant nonsense about 1st rounders and prospects.

Because this isn’t Detroit’s window and he’s not committing to anybody that’s not his core.

Jesus Christ how dense are you?

So he doesn't care about compete. Got it, you dont have to make stuff up to say you dont like a trade

So you don’t understand the concept of a plug? I mean, I knew you were ****ing stupid, but this is easy to grasp. tears of joy

Nah, i just know when someone says that their gm only gets guys with compete and there are several examples that he doesnt, it means they are full of it and, in this case, just wanted to take a jab at the leafs player because no one cares about their team

What part of signing a plug UFA versus trading assets for an overpaid core player who disappears when it matters doesn't click in that mush brain of yours?

Lol, you're doing as bad a job at defending your point as yzerman is at building a team with compete
Oh, and fyi, a window for a team is when their best players are between 22 and 27. So the wings are very much in the middle of their window with this tea.

Weird that you didn't answer the question.

BTW, Larkin the only core or future core player not on an ELC this past season. Larkin 27, Seider just turned 23, Raymond just turned 22. Potential core members in Cossa/Edvinsson/Kasper/Danielson/ASP all 21 or under. Tell me more about "yOu'Re iN tHe mIdDlE oF yOuR wInDoW!" tears of joy

But if 22-27 is the contention window, you must be depressed as a Leafs fan. Almost your entire core aged out and nothing to show for it. tears of joy tears of joy tears of joy

Hate to break it to you fella, yzerman made all these moves to compete. You dont trade for a guy like DeBrincat in his prime when you're still waiting

Yeah bro he was so committed to Debrincat that he was only willing to sign him to a 4 year deal when Alex wanted 8. Clearly he's thinking of now and not the future!

Justin holl is competitive now? I was told for years he was terrible and lazy and bad, but now he cant make a worse roster and is competitive? Wild stuff!

First I've heard of Holl being lazy. He has compete, he's just not good. Never has been.

He essentially traded spare parts and Bertuzzi to get a younger, better goal scorer. That's asset management and addressing weaknesses, something every GM tries to do. It's not that hard to understand.

Feel bad for the guy. All those years of suffering for the Leafs to finally build a core worth a ****, and according to him, they're all out of or exiting their prime and the window is just about shut.

Eh, deluding yourself into thinking your team is perfect despite glaring issues garners no sympathy from me. This is also the fanbase that woukd swear up and down that Holl was a legit top4 D, until he signed with Detroit.

3-4 years is any day now? That's ok, next year is the Leafs' year, right? Again?
