Lets say for fun Dubas pitches to Guentzel and he signs back. Do I think it will happen? No. But in a world of fantasy let's play this out.
In that sense Pens would be tight on cap yes. You could try to trade guys like Eller Acciari but if they want to be competitive then I do not think they do. You could try trading Rakell but I think that he can bounce back. I think if season goes on and Pens are mid pack then guys are dealt. The Defence I think is set no we wont get rid of Graves but he legit cant play any worse then he did last year.
Jarry is going to start but to save money and mold the future goalie in Pitt Blomqvist is the back up. If the Penguins sign Jake back then that is the biggest free agent signing. It will be then quiet in Pitt this summer.
Personally I dont like this option of signing back Guentzel because it does handcuff alot of other moves but hes also a Penguins legend so its fun to wish a scenario like this.
