He's been awful last 2 playoffs and this Winnipeg team isnt built for the playoffs. Scheifele wont be moved at that term so Ehlers makes sense.

Sure, but the trade had to make sense for the Jets. Trading a top 6 forward and only coming away with a late first and 6/7D that will require waivers doesn't help Winnipeg at all.

I wouldn't trade Xhekaj for Ehlers. The playoffs are what matters.
