So Anaheim just eats 6 million in cap for a pick three drafts out and a softer defenseman we already don't want?

You mean trading a 32 year old dman who will be a free agent before Anaheim even thinks to be a playoff team for a 25 year old right shot D who has done well when given a bigger role

He's a puck mover that plays a soft game, quite literally the definition of what Anaheim is trying to to stay away from because we already have enough puck movers and are trying to to build a hard defense.

if the Flames are moving Markstrom, wouldn't that imply they are going to more of a rebuild.
what are they going to do with those two dinosaurs?

Are Vladar and Wolf not the future tandem? Thought they had to move a goalie this offseason one way or another.

Calling Rielly a dinosaur is actually hilarious

Calgary might accept that. It won't take long for Reilly to learn to play decent defense without losing much offense on a team that knows what defense is. The big question is if his contract is too long for age to fit the Flames future plans.

You can keep Jarnkrok. It really doesn't matter to Calgary if he's in the deal or not. The Flames won't trade anything for him but they won't be opposed to taking him on either. His 2 years at 2.1 mil per isn't going to break the deal.

Seattle, Anaheim and Calgary accept with gratitude. Only downfall is paying UFAs/RFAs in 2025/26 now that they have cup rings
