    Zayne Parekh 3A
    Zeev Buium 3B
    CHI
Macklin and Ivan are the top gems clearly. You dream for Macklin, you cheer if you get Demidov.

Ranked 3rd for SJS, I have Levshunov. You want him.. but at 3A and 3B I have Buium and Parekh. You can easily argue taking either over Lev if you can’t get Macklin or Ivan.

        —Sharks Possible Pens Pick—

        CHI
Here we have a few tiers.
Leading the targets are Parekh and Buium. You consider trading up for them, and you’re already on stage when your picks up if they’re there.

Next we have Iginla, Eiserman, and Catton. All 3 are fall candidates. They could all be gone, but one could fall through the cracks and their beauty picks. Iginla leads the 3 imo, Eiserman has the 50goal potential, and Catton is a clear top 10 prospect, even top 5 in some scouts eyes.

Now we have the reaches, you’re happy with these guys but you could be passing on some better picks by picking Jiricek, Dickinson, or Yakemchuk. Here the Sharks rebound back to needing a D, and prioritize that need.

Finally we have a world where:
Macklin, Demidov, Lev, Parekh, Buium, Lindstrom, Iginla, Catton, Eiserman, Silayev going inside 10 and seeing Jiricek, Yakemchuk, and Dickinson go too. Here I’ve outlined my favourite border picks.

It happens an hour before the reveal I believe so that would be around 5 est (which it’s not ); so I’d be skeptic

Sheng Peng is there and he’s writing in article on the behind the scenes of the draw after today.

Lindstrom should be 3rd on everyones board. I really don't get the hype around Levshunov, I watched a ton of him this season and he is good, but not top 10 pick good, IMHO. We'll see, though. Hopefully i'm wrong about him, especially if it's CHI who picks him.

top RDs are hard to come by, which is maybe why hes rated somewhat high. the only top RDs in this draft are Levshunov and Parekh, other RDs are Jiricek (injured most of the season) and Mews, who arent top pair potential

I am well aware of the RD's in this draft, and there are many more than that. But I watched a ton of him this year and I don't think Levshunov will be a top RD. Parekh is a guy who, if everything goes well, will score a lot of points and get recognition as "one of the best defensemen in the league" even though he doesn't actually play defense. Guys like Buium, and Dickinson are better defensemen overall, and play both sides effectively, even if they are both left handed. Buium could actually be looked at as the best d from this draft in a few years, imo. I also think RD's like Emery, Brunicke, Kleber, and Gill, among others, have way more solid floors than most of the top rated defensemen in this draft. Also, that isn't true about Jiricek and Mewes, they have top pair potential, but they are essentially top pair or bust, candidates. Same with Parekh but with more of a superstar ceiling.

My top 2nd round target is EJ Emery and Cole Hutson

Lev is only there that high due to the high praise from scouts and experts.

I included Buium and Parekh because I agree - they’re the best D man in the class imo. I’m fine with Lev, but he’s not my pick (that’s why it was A and B).

          Personally I’d go:

          Macklin
          Demidov
          Buium Parekh
          —— next grouping

And sharks need more D. That’s why my top 5 don’t include Lindstrom. Because if you don’t get Macklin or Demidov, you go off the board with Parekh or Buium - or consider Lev.

For sure. Definitely makes sense if it is a need. I'm the same, though. I watched a lot of Levshunov and just never understood the hype. I like him, but I think it's way too much to have him in the top 5. It feels like all the pundits went into this season with the narrative that it was "strong defensively" and just couldn't let that narrative go.
