Not a bad Askarov trade. The price is fine, but I think Trotz only wants to trade Askarov if we get a blue chip center prospect back

I just found it to be interesting, but it also only makes sense if saros resigns -> i could see them getting a nice package to trade him and give askarov his shot finally

Edstrom is a center and I think he’s improved towards a high end prospect after the end of the season and playoff he had in the SHL

He tried to trade up using Asky cause he wanted Will Smith. I think that's the kind of prospect he is shooting for if he moves one of our goalies

That being said, most reports I’ve read have him more as a good 3C at his ceiling as opposed someone who could be a top six forward, although maybe he has an outside shot at become a 2c

Yeah there’s no way that’s happening. I don’t know if someone would trade a high rated center like that for a goaltender, though I understand Nashville isn’t, and shouldn’t, just taking anything for him.

Can't say I didn't want that 1st overall for CHI, but congratulations on the win! I'm excited to see how SJS's rebuild pans out!

Yeah it’s a bit of a weird situation I think. Most teams trading for goalies are contenders or wanna be’s so they would want to give futures to make the team better now. But Nashville is holding out for NHL’ers and good ones, which would have to come from teams that dont want to contend, but they dont have any good players …

No interest in Askarov at this stage of the rebuild. I'd also hope for more for taking Pageau's contract.

Don't really want Pageau on the Sharks, too small.
Smart Askarov trade. I'm down. Hadn't thought of that before. Alternatively, how about the #14 pick for Gilroy's Wolf?
Celebrini opens up so many posibilities.

I dont mind spending one of our future firsts to get a guy that is good or more developed now tbh, was just going through trades that could happen

Why would we want a young incredible goalie who is waiting behind saros for a shot? He makes perfect sense but I think Nash would have to come down on their price again. I think pageau would be a good ish fit, he’s just slightly overpaid.
