I know everyone is going to call you a troll. But, oh well.

For the 15th overall pick, you might be able to convince CHI to take on more cap than just Chiarot. Maybe Fabbri and Holl/Husso too. Then again, I don't think CHI wants to take many cap dumps, if any. It sounds like they want to be very intentional with their summer additions. We'll see.

I stopped reading comments for the most part because of the same people who troll my posts. They think other teams will take our bad contracts for nothing and think players will take way less then they will and way less term then they will.

For sure. Your opinions do seem to differ quite a bit from a lot of other DET fans, but you don't strike me as a "troll".

To echo Garak....#15OA is probably a bit much to eat 2 years of Chiarot @ 4.75 each. He is overpaid and a dump, but not a total dump. At a minimum, the Hawks would need to throw in a 2nd of some sort to make the trade value a little more fair. That said, I don't think the Hawks are a great fit to dump a left handed D as they are bursting with option there. Vlasic just got a big extention and will have a lineup spot for sure, you took your lumps with Korchinski so I don't see him not developing in the NHL at this point, and you have all of Kaiser/DelMastro/Allen as lefties needing NHL ice time to develop.

Looking at this, building something around Holl to the Hawks probably makes more sense for both. Instead of buying him out and eating 1.13 in cap for 4 season, you could probably retain a touch more and maybe not even need a sweetner or at the worst a minimal sweetner. Holl retaining 1.4 per and a 3rd probably is a taker for the Hawks for a couple of seasons as a net 2 million cap. Hawks will definately be adding a RHD and unless Murphy or Jones get moved, it will be a bottom pairing guy.

I think 4 years for Kane and 7 for Stamkos are way too long, by probably double. Kane should get 2 years. If he stays consistent, he should break all time assists and points record by an American. if not, and he can stay healthy, he can sign a 1 year deal afterwards.

And you don't want to be paying a 41 year old Stamkos.

Both are Hall of Fame players so even at their age I bet they will get long term deals to bring down the cap hit
