lol no. UFAs are out of the picture, they are tanking for a few years, as they should. They will be in the picture for McKenna.

Why are UFAs out of the picture? That's ludicrous.

And that's incorrect. Grier, whether it's himself or pressure from HP, wants to turn things around sooner rather than later.

What do you think they've been doing for 4 years? They got their guy, they need to start building a winning culture.

With that said Reinhart is at that age and pedigree where he'll have better options. Sharks will likely go after vets and top 6/top pairing guys who may price themselves out of their current situation. I love the idea of Stephenson, DeMelo, Chatfield, Domi (if TOR can't fit him), Roy.

Also I do think this particular ACGM has WAY too many free agent signings. It's incredibly unlikely to have any more than 2-3 impact free agency signings. Also Couture should be assumed to start on LTIR

Agreed (although it's SAP owner Hasso Plattner - RIP HP Pavilion). I do think some moves are a bit overoptimistic/unrealistic. Roy and Reinhart will be sought after by a LOT of teams and if by some miracle we did land them it would more likely be very high AAV and very short term if they price themselves out with other teams. Like Perry/Hall/Klingberg/Kane

Do you really want to commit to debrusk for 5 years at 6.5? and reinhart for 7 at 10?

I'm absolutely still on my landing-Celebrini high so I'm unabashedly pushing my luck as far as it goes with this foreign feeling of optimism.
Realistically though yeah, I have Bordeleau starting as the 2LW with Cooch on IR.

They've both been consistently good for a number of years now, and they're still fairly young. I'd be happy with it. I really think Grier needs to get Reinhart this year or Marner next year as UFAs as the team's top RW to support Celebrini. I'm more worried about trading for that guy and giving up assets rather than cap space.

I know some have pushed Stamkos as a slightly better fit/somewhat more realistic option, but even Stammer's not good enough anymore to help this team be better so that's someone I'd be against signing actually. Pavs too, he's looked kinda cooked the past few months.

Maybe Debrusk, Reinhart making that much scares me. I am 10000% in agreement with you that we need to get a guy to support Celebrini, but I would get a cheaper option like Domi who will protect him, and will cost less. I don't want to create a log jam through.

I totally agree with the sentiment. I'm all in on going after a few veteran top 6 forwards / top 4 d-men while still giving the young guys big roles.
I created an ACGM that pretty much went through a list of Free Agents I think they should target: https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/5088691

Honestly, I can't believe they actually landed that 1st overall haha

Down for Domi, pull Keefe as our coach while we're at it and Marner as a UFA next year too.
