Why would MIN forever short at center be open to trading a 22yr old center who just had a 20 goal season in his first full season.

According to Russo, Rossi may be available if the Wild can get a similar age or younger center with similar upside who's bigger and/or faster than Rossi. The only report we have of a potential deal was that Rossi was floated around for Cutter Gauthier before he was traded to Anaheim, to give you an idea of the type of piece it would take.

Obviously Nic Hague and Zach Whitecloud are nowhere close to that, and Vegas doesn't have anything like that, so it's a no go.
