I doubt the Kings would let go of Turcotte that easily

Would the Hawks want Turcotte at all?
If so what would the offer look instead?
Is that offer even worth it?

I don't see the Hawks wanting to trade Dach, particularly for Turcotte who hasn't shown much so far. They've also had Englund and let him walk so I doubt they want him again, especially where the blue line is where the Hawks have the most depth.

I mean I'd be interested if he could be had for cheap, but the Kings would be selling based on potential, and it's probably not worth it at this point in the rebuild spend resources on unrealized potential.

Colton Dach doesn't have the same upside as Turcotte, and has had his own injury concerns the past couple years to boot. Dach and a 3rd for Turcotte would be a win on our end

Respectively disagree. Turcotte hasn't come near his upside yet, either in Ontario or LA. He's going to need to be a top six player, and he hasn't shown the ability to do that in the NHL yet (I understand he's behind Kopitar, Danault and Dubois). I know that Dach has had injury concerns, but he's slated to be a middle six forward who's willing to go to the front of the net, which the Hawks need more than another speedy center.

If the price to get Turcotte is Dach, then no, the Hawks are definitely out. Hawks might trade a pick or a lesser prospect for Turcotte, but at this point the Hawks have drafted other players who probably have just as much NHL potential as Turcotte. And can't see the Hawks having any interest in Englund at all.

Gonna disagree as well. Dach is a big body who likes to mix it up along the boards and go to the front of the net. Hawks are woefully short of that organizationally. Turcotte is approaching reclamation project status. Hawks have multiple players now with his same skill set who have just as much upside. Don't see this as a W for the Hawks in any way.

I'll never understand the Dach glazing. We quite literally have 2 guys on the team right now who have the same profile as Dach in Slaggert and Entwistle and like 3 more sitting in Rockford.

I saw someone say it with regards to the Leafs with their situation and I whole heartedly agree. You don't need star players AND guys who can play with grit, you need star players who play with grit. Turcotte, while he probably doesn't turn into a superstar at this point, still has the chance to be a top 6 guy with the sandpaper you need on a playoff run. Dach will never be a top 6 guy.

Well I guess if you think that Turcotte is so much closer to being a top 6 F than Dach is, you're entitled to your opinion. Don't think there will he too many folks in that boat with you. Dach definitely has enough skill to grow into a 2nd line winger. He's already a better shooter than big bro Kirby. And only one year as a pro at this point. It's way too early to move on from Dach if you're the Hawks.

I guess for me, I don't see it as "moving on" from Dach here. I'm not advocating to trade him for nothing. You're using an asset to gain a better asset. Sometimes it takes guys a little bit longer to get going than others. You're seeing it in Lafreniere this postseason. Carter Verhaeghe didn't start popping off until he was 25. Now I'm not saying he's going to be carter verhaeghe, but there is a reason he was a top 5 draft prospect. He had his flashes this season. With some consistency and some playing time, who knows. I just don't see that same upside in Dach.
