It's tough to be 183 lbs when you're 5'9"... Might be something there.

I don't think this is the right package for Rossi. (Minnesota will want more)

Mesar is better off developing in our system. Keep Slafsquatch happy!

(Maybe a package of WPG 1st, CGY 1st, Justin Barron, Riley Kidney and Sean Farrell could do it) I really don't see the Wild moving Marco Rossi, a 2C with very good cost control, and 14m in dead cap do deal with.

The thing is they're not looking for a package to begin with. They're looking for a hockey trade for a player with more size, speed, and/or skill to upgrade their roster with. That seems kinda silly to hope to find it, unless you're finding a team up with even less cap than Minnesota that needs to move someone to clear cap. No idea their actual situation but someone on reddit suggested Tampa with Cirelli if they need to clear cap for Stamkos and Hedman's upcoming extension as being an example.

They're not going to move him for a late round pick and a bunch of random players. If they don't find what they like, they'll keep Rossi.

Barron value is low right now relative to the potential. Probably could do it for Mailloux plus the WPG first, but honestly why. Rossi is fine but we need elite scoring talent - need to focus on that.
