So Chicago can rush the rebuild?

It isnt really rushing the rebuild if the hawks have been rebuilding for 5 years at this point.

Yes and no. They have tons of picks. They got some nhl ready prospects waiting for a roster spot. So signing big names is just screwing up their prospects. There’s really no point on doing that. Just get better each year. They’ll have tons of prospects that could be good or won’t be.

Can't rely solely on the draft. No team is built like that. The prospects need to earn their spot before they sign big ticket names.

By 2026-27 the vast majority of Chicagos high end prospects will already be on the roster. The rest can essentially be filled out with vets as long as the term/money is right

The rebuild didn't really start until about 2 years ago. Before that they were just treading water and pretending like they were going to compete.

Maybe if davidson realllllly loves michkov. Personally dont see it though. I think theyre pretty comparable skill-wise and Demidov fits the hawks prospect pool a little better for a young group thats got a lot of shooters but not a ton of pure playmakers
