I’d still accept it 1 for 1. Farabee - Timmy - Giroux would be nice. Or you run USA lineup Brady - Pinto - Farabee.

Farabee seems like a seamless fit in your top 6

Unlikely. Flyers can load it with bonuses that Jets ownership would be unwilling to match. That org is struggling to keep fans in the building…it’s why I targeted them specifically as opposed to LA (Byfield) or Minnesota (Rossi). I think it’s one area that an organization like Philly has an advantage over some of the smaller-market teams. They are not afraid to throw money around.

He is an underrated player and was one of the most efficient even-strength wingers in the league last year. Plus Giroux would love to play with him again. He had some quote about Farabee eventually breaking all of his scoring records in Philly lol

You highlight the problem though - where does Norris fit? Paying 8 million for a guy to be a 3rd liner and maybe a PP specialist is a bit much.

But maybe this deal could be expanded to include Norris - it would eat the cap space to sign Tarasenko but they're essentially the same player, but Norris is better in his own zone and faceoffs. Sens retain 2.3 million on Chychrun, flyers send back their 1st this year for Norris? Lower Zamula's contract a bit and the team still fits under the cap as is.

Norris can go. I would like one of Chabby or Norris to be moved. Having 16M$ locked into two injury prone guys is not ideal. If we find a Norris replacement i’d take whatever Staios could get and move on.
