Eriksson Ek is a really good player but that's quite a price to pay for him. With NYR trying to win now, is he enough of an upgrade over Zibanejad to justify moving Miller too?

when you combine the cap hit and 5v5 play of erickson ek imo its worth it.

The MIN deal doesn’t work for either team. I can’t get there on value and min can’t afford it. If you’re going to sign senko make it 1 year and sign Drais in the next summer.

I wouldn’t do it even if we could afford it. Trading a center in the middle of his prime for a guy that is likely leaving his shortly just doesn’t make sense. Miller is an interesting piece, but not someone that makes sense to do an Ek for Zib swap.

That’s fine. KAM is a top 2 D man(not in the league for clarity) , passing on him is absolutely wild but that’s fine by me. Zibby will be good for the next 4 years for sure without any real decline. By the time he declines his contract won’t even feel big. Cap will be 115M by then.

I would like to have KAM, but not at the expense of Eriksson Ek (in any fashion).

The Wild have Brodin, Middleton, Chisholm, Peart, Lambos, Hunt, and O'Rourke for LD. We have so many LD prospects that it's almost considered a hinderance because there is only so many minutes to go around. If you'd like to build a trade around D prospects and picks for KAM, I'm game.

Nope, KAM is completely off limits.

I’m not the one who proposed the deal.

Oh I know. Which is why my comment said both that min can’t afford the salary and I can’t get behind the package. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Wild trade is absolute bat**** insane. The Rangers would never do that and if they did, Drury would be fired within 10 minutes of hanging up the phone to confirm the trade with the league office.
