If Spooner is going to be your #2 center, I think you'll be very disappointed.

Matt Puempel doesn't offset the negative value impact that Marc Staal has. For the sake of the argument, I'll call their face value a wash, meaning they cancel each other out in value. That breaks the trade down to a Late 1st round pick and a late 2nd round pick for one of the better shot suppressers in the NHL (Tanev)

They can most likely find better value elsewhere if they were to sell Chris Tanev.

Spooner trade is great--- don't agree with a previous comment that we rangers fans will be dissapointed.

Vancouver trade is a trade I wish would actually happen this offseason. Staal is trash, Puempel is a dime a dozen- but VAN could use them during their rebuild of trying to be a team thats more than just the sedin twins.

As a ranger fan, i'd be very happy with these off season moves ( my mock team looks pretty similar to this one)

How many Bruins games do you watch I year? I myself watch around 95% of them. I've watched Spooner live and on TV many times and trust me you'd be disappointed. Can't win a face-off to save his life, doesn't shoot nearly enough and doesn't even know how to spell defense. He's not a 2nd line centerman and would be exposed quickly if he had to be one. Personally I'd love to get to face Spooner as a #2 centerman because that mean we can send the Bergy line out and pick him apart.
