For me a realistic trade for a constant 35 goal scorer (that could score much more on a line with a real top line center which you have) is better then a middle six draft disappointment and a first round pick. I cant see this trade happening without pujivaji so never mind.

We already have a 3rd line center making 6Mil$. No need for a second one. Unless you want to trade Plekanec for RNH one for one. Plekanec is much better in a 3rd pair center role then RNH. So I just changed my mind. Would trade RNH and a 3rd round pick for Plekanec.

Don't often agree with Dylan, but do in this case. Short of sending Weber and Price, and eating half the cap, Habs are seeing Puljujarvi. The RNH and a first for Max isn't the worst idea. I suspect if the Habs don't go the distance this year, negotiations on a long-term deal with Max will be tough. Why stay when every northeast corridor team wants him desperately? So, really, this is the year or Max goes next summer.

Although I see no reason to do a Pacioretty for RNH trade, even if some picks are involved. If we're trading Pacioretty, it's for a higher end center. RNH is a decent 2nd line center, but we'd be worse off if we gave Pacioretty.
