Nice roster of 21 with no cap space. Avs would jump at that deal, especially if they Deangelo is an NHLer.

Rosters are usually made up of 20 players so that fact that there's 21 means he could send someone down and have more cap space than 0. Teams aren't obligated to carry scratched players with them. It only happens when they're giving rookies a chance to not have their ELC slide and be part of the team, or PTOs, or competing for spots.

No youre right, it definitely would mean something else has to happen. But that can be worked out later, gimmie my player!

Or we could gouge Mac Staal's eyes out and put him on LTIR, plenty of cap then! =)

What you wrote just isn't true. Almost exclusively teams dress 12 forwards, 6 Men. and 2 goalies. No way they go big parts of the season without excess forwards and one Dman. The 3 extra are almost always with the team.

Pretty much fair value but... I would say no because I personally do not like or want Deangelo. Also Barrie and Makar are already right handed undersized offensive defenseman.

Sakic could definately to worse than this though.

Yea but Barrie isn't that good now, and Makar is years away from the NHL.

Fair enough, see your point. My thinking is, if you're moving Duchene, you're also moving Barrie at some point as well. Anyone not under 25 has to go.
