Trades
MTL
  1. Sedin, Daniel ($3,500,000 retained)
  2. Sedin, Henrik
  3. 2018 2nd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Sedins are two top 6 forwards. They only got 50 points last year bcuz their team went through injuries and the coach player them with AHL players like megna Chaput and Sutter.

When canucks retain salary it's like getting both for 10.5 million so about 5.25 million each. And if we do this at the deadline it's almost half the amount of dollars.

I strongly think Sedins would love the culture in montreal and I think they deserve another run at the cup. Bergevin has also showed he's into older proven talent as well.

Top 6 players usually go for a 1st and a prospect now a days. And plekanec is only there to make it affordable. Scherback and juulsen are only B+ and B prospects so not much of a loss, and the 1st they get will likely be a late first. I think it's fair for both sides

I think the 2nd should stay just in case.

This is very fair bcuz no matter what ppl think, the Sedins are still two top 6 talents. Not elite anymore but they are too 6 who can get 50- 65 points with a good winger.

Really? Bury Byron and keep the likes of Mitchell and Holland?

Trade makes sense IMO

Good job

It would be nice to see the twins have another shot at the cup... Just have to find a way to get them to waive their NMC's for the betterment of the team just like Fleury did during the expansion draft for Pittsburgh

Rather Byron than any of your 4th line players other than Gallagher.

Wow, that's a terrifying team. Of course, it's a huge price to pay for rentals so I don't know how I'd feel about this IRL. Obviously, we'd become cup challengers, but then shoot ourselves in the foot for the following year with Juulsen (and previously Sergachev) gone, leaving no youth available to be mentored by Weber.

What your saying is very true, but usually contending teams mortgage their future for a chance at a cup and right now is your window. You can always rebuild later, every team goes through the cycle
