Wow that trade would really suck for the nucks! Granlund is way better than Gallagher!

LOL no it's not.

Granlund had an injured wrist way back in November and still managed 19 goals before they shut him down with a month left in the season. That was playing third line minutes.

Hutton can be a top 4 or 5 guy, I think he can be top 4. I think Willie Desjardins just forced him into playing more of a defensive game when he's more offensive.

Gallagher is nothing special and Definetly not worth as much both those two

Wow, seeing a lot of Gallagher hate on a few mock trades (not just this one). He had a down season sure, but that was due to injuries. Given a bounce back next year Nucks fans might be back to their usual "Another Vancouver Giant That Got Away" tune. Might help Gallagher's numbers too if MTL could find an actual 1st line center. He's the most proven commodity in this trade imo. I think he has a passion for the game that Vancouver lacks. Also I wouldn't say that Granlund got all 19 goals playing 3rd line. He saw his opportunities alongside Horvat and the twins. That said, as a Nucks fan, I still don't make this trade. I still want to see more from both Granlund and Hutton. Vancouver isn't at a point where they can afford to be moving on from developing players early, certainly not with a number of skilled young wingers that may be able to bring what Gallagher can. Better that the Nucks stay the course and build through the draft.

If the Habs want to do a deal with the Nucks, then look at our veterans and get your draft picks ready. Edler as the puck mover alongside Weber? Maybe a deal that swaps Plekanec and Sutter? MTL gets a cheaper 3C and the Nucks get out from under that contract's term. Both have NTC/NMC's so highly unlikely. Most likely imo is Del Zotto to the Habs at the next trade deadline after he looks like a good puck mover with Tanev anchoring him.
