Description

Ekblad is still young and has proven to be a #1D when healthy. But some commenters on here say they wouldn't touch him because of his concussion issues and contract.

So what would be a fair deal to offer Florida? We know they're working on an internal budget, so they'd wouldn't want huge contracts coming back, but they're still looking to compete for the playoffs so the package couldn't be all futures.

Tanev is an excellent defensive Dman to fill the vacated spot on D, while Baertschi can contribute right away at forward. The 1st rounder will probably still be in the top half of the draft, but if it somehow becomes a top 3 selection then the Panthers would send a 2nd rounder back to Van.

Is this deal fair value?
