AA isn't really a center, he's far better on the wing and he's not a 3C by any stretch (if he was to be a center full time he makes sense to be deployed mainly in the offensive zone (kinda like Malkin, but obviously not as good).

you would have to trade either hagelin, sheary etc because red wings are not going to just give players away. sheary, another bottom six and a third or something. at the very least.

Heard that he mainly played as winger in DET, but didn´t know he wasn´t good at playing C. Just thought it was because DET has too many centers. Still young tho, so maybe he could develop into a solid 3 C.

They can´t afford taking someone back since they are over the cap even with Sheahan and AA gone. 1st round pick and two minor pieces is not like giving away players. It´s a fair price, I think.
