You could use Clutterbuck as a temporary 3RW until you can acquire an actual 3RW then move Clutterbuck to your 4th line.

            Burrows is an okay 4RW

            Quoting: krakowitz
I don’t, but if you need to send him as a cap dump, that’s what I will value him as. He has zero actual value to me

What would you be interested in? Forsberg+?

            Quoting: DavidBooth7
@rangersandislesfan just for additional reference, Clutterbuck alone has as many goals as Mitchell and Burrows combined, and has as many points as Mitchell and Burrows combined.

We aren’t demanding anything extraordinary, just picks.

Also, it gets rid of cap space for us

            I'll give ya 3 options.

            1. 2018 1st + 2019 2nd

            2. 2019 1st & 2nd

            3. Also have Reimer as a cheaper option. 2019 2nd & 3rd

He was spotted wearing socks with sandals at the beach, and that's just wrong.

Not interested in Reimer and not interested in trading picks ... prospects and/or current NHLers and/or other picks?

We're not giving you 1sts or anything though ... we're not too interested in moving higher picks at the moment. We might but not 1sts just so you know.

            Okay now I understand.

You could add a piece like Clarke MacArthur (who’s eating up a bit of salary from you), so that we could balance it out. It only means that his price would increase a little, again in terms of picks.

            Basically

            New York Islanders
            Picks
            Clarke MacArthur

            Ottawa Senators
            Cal Clutterbuck

The picks are for you and I to negotiate on

We're not giving you 1sts or anything though ... we're not too interested in moving higher picks at the moment. We might but not 1sts just so you know.

Id need your 2019 2nd, 2018 4th and 7th. If you want me to take Anderson’s contract from you, you’re gonna have to add something else as well

            Okay now I understand.

You could add a piece like Clarke MacArthur (who’s eating up a bit of salary from you), so that we could balance it out. It only means that his price would increase a little, again in terms of picks.

            Basically

            New York Islanders
            Picks
            Clarke MacArthur

            Ottawa Senators
            Cal Clutterbuck

The picks are for you and I to negotiate on

Once again though, Burrows is a decent 4th line RW. This makes me more interested but still not too interested ... what picks are you looking for? We might give you a later pick but that's about it.

Allow me to explain. I didn’t want to do this, but I’m just trying to help you understand why Clutterbuck is much more valuable than Burrows or Mitchell. I’ll do that by comparing the three players. I will bold the player who wins each category.

            Goals:
            Clutterbuck: 8
            Burrows: 5
            Mitchell: 3

            Assists:
            Clutterbuck: 9
            Burrows: 7
            Mitchell: 2

            Points:
            Clutterbuck: 17
            Burrows: 12
            Mitchell: 5

            Time On Ice:
            Clutterbuck: 12:42
            Burrows: 11:47
            Mitchell: 10:36

            Hits:
Clutterbuck: 215 (5th in the league!)
            Burrows: 56
            Mitchell: 25

            Blocked Shots:
            Clutterbuck: 47
            Burrows: 21
            Mitchell: 11

Then there’s also the simple fact that Clutterbuck brings lots of leadership, which you’ve said many times may be even more important than stats. As far as I’m concerned, Burrows has been suspended for ten games this year in addition to being waived - Im not sure how such a player can be a leader.

Clutterbuck gives you the leadership, physical prescence you need on your third line. He can score. He can chip in defensively. And heck he can hit. I’m sure he’s worth more than a late round pick, especially if we are taking MacArthur’s contract back as well.

RAIF, I’m done. You make me an offer and go from there. I’m not playing this guessing game as to what you are willing to give up, which is nothing basically

Not too interested in Lehner unless the price isn't too high ... maybe something like Chlapik+?

Yeah, no, not saying Burrows is better, i'm just saying that he's an okay 4th liner ... Clutterbuck is a good player but still a 4th liner. He's a good 4th liner and Burrows is an average 4th liner ... if we can get a 3rd line RW that would be great. If you're taking MacArthur's contract we might give you a later pick or a prospect for him but that's about it.

What about Ryan Strome as a 3 RW/C. Bonus is he can also play center.
He's far superior to either of the guys you have on lines 3 or 4 right now.

Think about it and get back to me.
Chances are I already know the answer, but have to ask anyway

            3. Also have Reimer as a cheaper option. 2019 2nd & 3rd

Another rough night for Anderson (pulled....again) and Condon.

You sure you don't want to reconsider upgrading yourself in net??

Reimer has 18 WINS this year, and Condon has what, 5.

            @HoffmanisKing @rangersandislesfan

Given your comments in your communication thread, you don't think you need Strome.

I also can't figure out why you'd need him either.
He is.....12 yrs younger than Burrows, that's 1/3 his age
He has....more goals than Burrows has points
He can....play either RW or C which gives you more options on where to use him.

If you can't see this or frankly ANY of the offers that have been made to you as a chance to upgrade you team in certain areas, then you clearly don't want to improve your team no matter what the offer.

Don't forget, I offered you Martin Jones a few days ago and you didn't like it. Yet again last night your 2 goalies were awful again.
It's not like I targeted your best players in return. I never said I wanted Stone, Hoffman, Turris, Karlsson, and you still didn't like the idea.

This is going to be hard for me because there are players on your team I'd like to work with you and try to make deals, but it's finally become clear to me that you have ZERO intention of wanting to make any deals or improvements to your team.
So for those reasons this will be my final offer, and you won't hear from Anaheim again.

I'm gonna tell the truth here, as crazy as this may sound: I'm not sure if Reimer is really a starter. He's a good backup but Lehner's more of a starter IMO, and i'm not kidding. For a while Lehner has been behind a not great defence, and until this year Reimer's had a better defence in front of him. And Lehner's still playing pretty good on a terrible team this year. About Strome, i see him as more of a centre than a right winger. And about Jones, you wanted 1sts, which we don't want to give up right now.
