what if Ryan reaves is more than just a goon. what if pens management actually see something in him and think that they can get him to elevate his game to the next level. this is probably very unlikely but what if this season, reaves gets a chance to play with Crosby... and he performs better than anyone had thought. he scores 10-15 goals and nets over 30 points in a full season while still providing Crosby with that useful protection that he desperately needs. probably not gonna happen but hey... he's got the speed to keep up with sid. crazier things have happened. maybe he's Pittsburghs bob probert

I'd like to see Reaves on the first line for a few shifts per game to forecheck on the first defense pairing. He would need to be able to score in the forty to fifty point range to make it a permanent gig.

If Reaves "nets over 30 points" then that means Crosby or Malkins points will drop. They need someone hitting around 50 points.

Reaves is 30+ and is a bad hockey player. He's never had over 13 points, doubt he gets over 20 this season.

It is one thing to have the speed and another to make plays at top speed. He will get the odd shift with Crosby to send a message. He is an Enforcer not a goal scorer. He will score more being on the Penguins, but that will not be his job.
