Obviously COL people going to want more. I don't know if this is fair value... Barrie has been a bust since looking so promising out of the gate. Sakic wants the moon but I think with increasing pressure to move Duchene will have to reduce price...
This brings in a lottt of D pieces into their organization, no superstar, but solid good outlook young defenders...with multiple pieces that can compliment what they can draft. Plus Barrie's overpaid contract off their bookings, frees them up immensely to spend more wisely this coming off season to really jump start their reset

So Sakic is willing to accept scraps to get both Duchene+Barrie off the books you'd need to at least add Juulsen just to get Duchene . That does Colorado no good giving up the best players in the deal for scraps. And laugh Eklund thinking that Colorado has a chance of landing Tavares no way.

Not sure who you mean freeing up cap spade. Not Montreal who will staring at 10.5m Price next season. Can't imagine Tavares wanting to sign with Avs, who will have cap space.

He probably wouldn’t even take that as Weber’s contract is so long.
