Minny does that in a heartbeat. It's fixes their cap situation, they get a young 40pts center, a depth dman + a 3rd. Come on... from MTL's perspective, it's a lateral move. You need to improve the center position, not swap players. Danault right now fits perfectly on the 3rd line, and is still improving and can easily move up the lineup. adding Benn and a 3rd is just salt to the wound

I wouldn't from Minny PoV. Danault is a nice 3C, but there is JEE and Kunin also on ELCs already within the organization. Koivu is here for another few years. Wild have 1 total top-9 RHS FWD right now and that's Coyle, Kunin could make it 2.

Coyle isn't a cap problem that needs to be fixed. Parise is a cap problem, Ennis is (likely) a cap problem, Pommer was a cap problem. He also doesn't do much for MTL. He's an okay 3C, but a much better as a top-6 wing.

Benn is awesome, we’re not trading him. Danault is good, we’re not trading him. We don’t want Coyle if he costs that much.
