I think Nurse and Benning will need one more season before they are ready to be top 4. But I think Sekera and Russel will be traded in 2 years. That would be my reasoning in signing them to a lower bridge deal and then maybe signing a long term deal similar to Larsson and Kelfbom

Right, that makes sense. Good roster, although I agree with camshaft that I'd rather have Nuge than Strome, even with the AAV difference. The coming season might change my mind on that, but that's how I feel today. Maybe Montreal would take Strome for Scherbak + a 1st? Of course, then you'd have to find another $2.5M to pay RNH... Yes, it's a great contract. Is Ekholm a reasonable comp for Nurse? Of course, Ekholm's 6 x $3.75M deal is his third, we're looking at a second deal for Nurse - either bridge or long-term.

Agreed this season should be interesting. Of course we want everyone to play well and have career years but if they do there will be some picking and choosing who gets signed and who gets trade. Realistically the cap goes up 1.5-2 million with league revenue also if Vegas can sell seats or not

I read somewhere that Vegas is selling tickets like hotcakes - among the best in the league. It's their other revenue that will take time to ramp up - corporate, apparel, etc.
