Tampa is not doing that. Why would they use a middleman? Why not just deal directly with AZ to dump Callahan for a 2nd? Makes no sense at all.

True. And salary dumps to Arizona doesn't make any sense people. Stop making threads where you dump players there. There's a reason they have so much cap space. Their rich folk are stingy. They have an internal cap.

Sens can't offer Tavares 8 years and why would he sign for 9.5? Gonna be looking at a minimum of 10.5 if he is to leave the Islanders. More likely 11-12M per

Don't think it has to being Stingy but not gonna spend money where they do not need to, as when there are only 7 fans in attendance they can not afford it. But they have taken on players like Pronger for the right price.

bobby ryan for a first rounder. try ryan with 50% retention and sens have to send the isles two first rounders. I wonder why hedman has a nmc. so he doesn't get traded. zabbest is back, at his worse.

FYI since John Tavares is a pending UFA you can only sign him for 7 years not 8 years only the Islanders can sign him for 8.

I do understand the LTIR is the Contract insured? Or is it like Nathan Horton contract that was not insured so even though not against the cap still cost the MLSE 5.3M per or what ever the contract yearly layout is for his deal.

jordan, the only reason the coyotes took on those contracts, is because a they didn't cost them any money. they had that cap space so they got "benefits" for taking guys on ltir or in datsyck's case retired to Russia.
