Description
{Jets trade Mathieu Perreault, 2021 2nd round pick, and 2022 2nd round pick to Nashville for Mattias Ekholm}

The Jets get the top-4 defenseman they've missed out on since the 2019-20 season. They give away two second-round picks in return. Perreault is in the deal because of cap space. He is signed at a 4 million dollar contract.
ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
1Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-Buffalo Sabres: According to the latest rumors between fans, Lysell could be the best forward in the draft. The Sabres need a player that can provide secondary scoring, and Lysell does just that. He has great goal-scoring ability and his playmaking isn’t bad either. But he is mostly a shoot-first winger and can fit perfectly in the Sabres top-six sooner rather than later.
2Logo of the Arizona Coyotes-Draft Pick ForfeitedOttawa Senators: I think the Senators take Wallstedt or Clarke. At this point, it would be a reach to get Wallstedt at No. 2, so they will take Clarke instead. Their only right-shot defenseman is Brannstrom. Bernard-Docker is also very good, but he doesn’t have as much potential as Clarke does. Clarke is also the best offensive defenseman in the draft. He is also the best right-shot defenseman as well.
3Logo of the Seattle Kraken-

Arizona Coyotes
4Logo of the Boston Bruins-Detroit Red Wings: This would be a cool pick as some scouts compare Beniers to Dylan Larkin. So why not learn under the leadership of Dylan Larkin? Beniers is also classified as the best two-way forward in the draft.
5Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-Seattle Kraken: I expect the Kraken to take the best player available, regardless of position. Power has a better ceiling, but Eklund’s point production is better. Although Eklund’s size isn’t appealing, there are debates between fans that Eklund could be the best forward in the draft if he continues to put up points. Power hasn’t been consistent as of late, so that’s why the Kraken pass up on him.
6Logo of the Calgary Flames-Anaheim Ducks: Guenther is a pure sniper, which is what the Ducks need. They have an elite goalie in Gibson and a already-set defensive core (Lindholm, Manson, Fowler, Shattenkirk, Mahura, Drysdale, and Larsson). They have a bunch of young forwards as well, but none of them are goal-scorers. Guenther and Zegras on the same line would be dangerous against the opposition.
7Logo of the Carolina Hurricanes-Vancouver Canucks: Why not have two of three Hughes brothers on the same team? Luke is an offensive defenseman and plays a similar game to Clarke. Except Luke is a left-shot defenseman.
8Logo of the Chicago Blackhawks-New Jersey Devils: We finally have Power being drafted! The clear front-runner for first overall as been inconsistent in terms of point production. The Devils could use a left-shot defenseman as most of their defenseman are right-shot. If Power starts playing with more consistency, then he could be the best player in the draft.
9Logo of the Colorado Avalanche-San Jose Sharks: All the Sharks need is forward depth. Their bottom-six is currently bottom-five in the NHL. Johnson, who is the most creative player in the draft, can fit perfectly in the Sharks top-six. He mostly plays center, but is able to play as a winger.
10Logo of the Columbus Blue Jackets-Nashville Predators: Ideally Nashville needs a talented goal-scorer. Lucius barring injuries has excelled in that category. He has one of the best shots in class. Lucius is a natural center but has had rare moments where he has played on the wing. With Nashville deep at center, Lucius will likely have to adapt to playing as a winger.
11Logo of the Dallas Stars-Dallas Stars: The Stars are lacking star power behind Seguin and Gurianov. Sillinger is a shoot-first center and he can provide just enough star power for the Stars to make the extra step to the Stanley Cup. Sillinger is a talented goal-scorer and his playmaking skills aren’t bad either. He can also play on the wing, and with the Stars having Seguin and Pavelski as their top two centermen, Sillinger will likely play on the wing.
12Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-New York Rangers: If Edvinsson is available at this spot, there is no way the Rangers should pass on him. He is currently growing in size. A month ago he was 6’4’’ and under 200 pounds, now he is 6’5’’ and over 200 pounds. Edvinsson is probably the best two-way defenseman in the draft and will fit perfectly in the Rangers top-pairing. Ideally the Rangers need a No. 2 center or a left-shot defenseman. With Edvinsson still available, no way the Rangers pass on him.
13Logo of the Edmonton Oilers-Calgary Flames: The Flames are sloppy during offensive rushes, but Bolduc excels in that situation. He can finish plays off the rush. Bolduc also can play in multiple positions, either center or wing. With the Flames having Zary in their system, Bolduc will likely be a winger.
14Logo of the Florida Panthers-Columbus Blue Jackets: With this pick, the Blue Jackets immediately get their Dubois replacement. Even though Raty has lost his ceiling, his playmaking ability is outstanding. He could even increase fellow Finnish forward Laine’s goal production playing on the same line as him.
15Logo of the Los Angeles Kings-Los Angeles Kings: Quick’s numbers have declined since 2018, so they could use a goalie. Petersen is a solid young goalie, but he doesn’t have as much potential as Wallstedt. He can easily be the new Quick within 2-3 seasons.
16Logo of the Minnesota Wild-Minnesota Wild (via Pittsburgh Penguins): This is a cool pick as some scouts compare Lambos to Ryan Suter. So why learn under the guidance of Suter? Lambos is also the best defensive defenseman in the draft.
17Logo of the Montreal Canadiens-Edmonton Oilers: Up front the Oilers are lacking a physical presence. L’Heureux may be the best power forward in the draft, he could provide the physicality the Oilers are lacking.
18Logo of the Nashville Predators-Montreal Canadiens: The Canadiens need forward depth, so I expect them to grab the best forward available. Right now Olausson has the highest ceiling. Great hockey IQ and puck skills.
19Logo of the New Jersey Devils-Chicago Blackhawks: The Blackhawks have a lot of young forwards, so I think they should draft a defenseman. They do have some right-shot defensive prospects, so they pass on Coulemans. Instead they take Chayka who fills a hole on the left side of their defensive core. Chayka plays a great two-way game and is a smooth skater in the offensive zone.

Hawks need RW prospects or a legit top line left side prospect on D, otherwise the D is solid
