Rest of the season
Walker is worth a 2nd at most.
Campbell does not need to be dumped. Literally anything the oilers want to do at the TDL can happen with out dumping him. Then you buy him out in the offseason and save any assets required to move him.

I don’t know how desperate NYR is to dump that contract but maybe you get the first? It might be a sellers market which plays into the flyers favor if they punt on the season.

Knight wouldn't be a #1 on the flyers right now. Ersson has been really good lately, so he will play as the #1 for the rest of the season and they will get to see if he has true potential to be the team's #1 going forward. Goalies aren't much of a need for the flyers so I would much rather have them use the pick or trade it for a young center.

There is nothing interesting about this offer from the Wild’s perspective! Massive overpayment, plus Rossi is going to end up the better player.

He's not playing up to his full potential after missing last season, but he's a got top 15 shot in the league. Was on pace for 40+ goals in his last season before getting hurt.

Basically, yes. Rossi is starting to show the player he was drafted to be and hopefully he continues to improve. The picks on top are pretty steep and quite frankly the Wild need Rossi’s ELC to help them put together a team next year especially with the question marks on Spurgeon’s cap hit.

Guerin is still determined to win. He isn't ready to throw this year out the window, nor the next. And when the dead cap evaporates after next season, the Wild will give Kaprizov any amount of money he commands and hope our deep prospect pool is ready to make an impact. Rossi, Boldy and Faber are already key parts of our core, let's see how Wallstedt, Khusnutdinov, Yurov, Öhgren etc. fare in a few years.

Mittelstadt goes Wild
Interesting, but the Wild decline. Rossi and Mittelstadt score about the same amount of goals, slight edge to Rossi. Mittelstadt is a bit better offensively, however. I haven't seen enough of him to get a read on his defensive abilities, though I know Rossi is a beast.
Our 2nd this year is top40 and a 1st on top of that is too much, however. Mittelstadt is an improvement (at the moment, at least) over the still-developing Rossi - still just 22 yo -, but that is too steep of a price to pay from the Wild's view.
Mittelstadt also has one big problem - he is going to get PAID next summer. And the Wild can't afford him. Rossi is still on his ELC.

Finally someone with a reasonable offer for Mitts.
Mitts is a very well-liked player in the locker room and by the organization, so it would take a lot for BUF to pull the trigger on a trade.
And yes, he has shown over the past 2 years that he can excel as a 1C. He would be a great fit next to Kaprizov and he is a Minny boy, so this could make sense.
The only thing is BUF is looking for a D-man more than a F.
BUF may have more suitable offers on the table, or just keep him as he is arguably their best F.

Thread:
Mittelstadt goes Wild
There are so many variables in the Sabres trading Mittelstadt but starting with this trade scenario I'd have to say the Sabres would have to be nuts not to take it, I think it is an overpayment on Minnesota's part and I can't see GMBG offering it. The 1st and 2nd give the Sabres trade capital to fill other holes mainly a RHD.
Getting Rossi still gives the Sabres flexibility at center in case one of their centers goes down or none of their prospects can make it at center in the NHL. As <a href="/users/AntiAnalytics" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@AntiAnalytics</a> pointed out what a long term deal might look like, do the Sabres want to go go that high even with the hike in cap next year. I think the Sabres like Mitts enough to want to keep him but at what cost is the question.
The other part for me is Cozens...last year was a breakout season for him but he seems to have drifted back to 2 yrs ago when he had great chances but couldn't bury the puck. Last year he buried those chances on his way to a 31g season. A consistent Cozens and what Mitts can be signed for helps determine what happens with Mittelstadt in my mind.
My guess is the Sabres sign him long term but if this trade were on the table I can't see them turning it down.

Mittelstadt goes Wild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alex_K</b></div><div>Probably because I'm neither Wild nor Sabers fan) I just thought that Buffalo has two really good centres signed long term, so they could listen to offers, on the other hand the Wild need a good centre for Kaprizov line and they have assets.</div></div>
Sabres fan here
I agree that this is a good offer
Mitts has been our best forward this year,
and his defensive game has really come around
So I’m 99% certain we try to get a long term deal done with him- probably something similar to what Tage & Cozens got
Mitts is earning himself a spot in our long term core
But again, u make an offer we’d be forced to think hard about
Rossi is a good young player, & the picks on top are nice
Sabres would be very tempted imo
Especially if they have trouble working out a contract w Mitts
Minnesota fans probably won’t like this though
My guess would be that Rossi has shown them enough that they’d just wanna keep him

Zacha and Coyle will 100% be there and there's still a chance Bergeron comes back. If no Bergy, wouldn't be surprised if they went after a guy like Schiefele or Lindholm. In house options would be Geekie, Frederic, Boqvist, Beecher. All kinda rests on Bergy's shoulders

If Killorn resigns
Can use what you offered Korpisalo to offer Killorn more money to stay, and acquire a veteran D like DeHaan and backup like Rittich on a cheaper contracts.
Ideally we hope to keep Colton, especially if he can get signed around a 3M aav on a short term contract. Trading Colton while he's about to enter/is in his prime to the Flyers while they're still a good ways away from contending doesn't make sense for the Flyers. You can also get a package deal for him from other clubs or teams that can help us dump Myers/Seabrook instead.

Not enough for Chychrun (and less than we've offered, too), and Bobrovsky won't waive his NMC for Arizona, thereby obviating any need to discuss the possibility that Florida would give up their #2C to get rid of him.

My thought has been around 4 years at 5 million as I believe he may take a discount to keep his defensive partner in town (and the Ovi/Russian effect can't hurt). Could also see something around 4x5.5 if he does not want to take a discount.

Retool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alex_K</b></div><div>The main idea of the retool is to become a bit younger, of course Oshie can be in the lineup next season (I hope so), but he'll be 37 and with all his injuries, who knows. Also I think Kuzy needs a change of scenary, he looks disinterested to be honest and the Caps need a cap space.
But that's only my view, would like to know in which direction you think the Caps should go.</div></div>
Kuzy does look off right now, but I don't think trading him at this point would do anything more than anger Ovi and ruin the locker room. As for next year, I would prioritize bringing back Orlov, Jensen, Hathaway, and Strome and let go of Sheary and/or Milano if necessary to open Cap and Lineup space for McMichael and Protas. I'd let Gustafsson and TvR price themselves out of DC and use Alexeyev and Iorio/Johansen as interior replacements, and possibly moving Mantha if cap becomes a large concern.

You can expect progression and bounce back seasons from certain guys sure. But it NEVER works out for everyone. If you've got 6 guys you are needing to step up, the reality is, usually only half of them do.
I def think Johnny Hockey would make you guys closer, I just dont know if I trust that D Core and Hart after that miserable season. I could see your forwards bouncing back but boy does that D Core and Crease look shaky as hell and I don't see much improving this season. York might be that silver lining.

Samsonov to Colorado
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alex_K</b></div><div>Of course not right now. But Samsonov is obviously in Lavi's doghouse just like Vrana (who had tons of potential as well), so if Fucale proves himself by the deadline, GMBM can pull the trigger... again.</div></div>
I don't see how Sammy is in the doghouse. Vanecek is currently dealing with something nagging (I don't think they said what), and called up Fucale as an insurance measure. Vrana, in my opinion, did not have the same value Samsonov does and had played so poorly he was scratched. Samsonov is not near the same level of poor play, and far too many Caps fans have given up on him when he has had a couple bad games, without taking into account other factors. I would expect Fucale to be sent back down at some point in the next week.
