<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>I will say 2.5 ppg in the NCAA is more impressive than 1.7 ppg in the WHL in isolation, but Fantilli has only played 6 games (gonna have to keep it up for much longer) and while he is bigger, Michigan is also loaded and the Pats kinda suck. If Bedard gets dealt to a memorial cup contender, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him put up 3+ ppg. It’s hard to get over his speed, dynamicism, and shot, but I think Fantilli has firmly stepped into that #2 slot with Michkov injured and signed in Russia for several years.</div></div>
Bedards first unless Fantilli keeps it up all year while Bedards teammates continue to miss wide open net dishes from him (lol happened a few too many times already this year).
Fantilli is following Beniers path yet Fantilli looks much more impactful than Mattty. I go with Fantilli 2nd all day right now. Michkov is a close 3rd but he’s a winger who may not play in the NHL for a few years. Hard to sell to a team compared to “Near NHL ready C who can compete with Bedard”

That's not my problem with it, while I think Michkov is better, Fantilli over him makes sense with his start to the year and michkov's injury. But over Bedard? Seems like a reach...

2022-23 NHL Season Discussion Thread #3: The Toronto Maple LTI's
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>capsfan2121</b></div><div>how good was prime erik karlsson. was he better than makar is right now?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>Prime Erik Karlsson was the best defenseman in the league for a solid 6 years minimum. Robbed of at least 2, arguably 3 Norris trophies. Best player in the world in spring of 2017 (better than Crosby and McDavid). EK65 walked so Makar could run. Reminds me a lot of EK65’s earlier years, I would say they’re close to comparable right now (edge EK65 because in 2017 he was unbelievable and Makar is probably “only” the 3rd or 4th best player in the world) but I still expect Makar to improve and likely surpass EK65. If McDavid hadn’t thrown down 33 points or whatever in the playoffs we’d probably be talking about last year’s Makar similarly to 2017 Karlsson.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>UpsideDownQue</b></div><div>Maybe its my Avs bias but I think Makar is better than Karlsson ever was. 1.12 P/GP in the reg season and 1.45P/GP in the playoffs are both significantly higher than the numbers Karlsson ever put up and Makar did it en route to a cup and conn smythe. And thats only comparing offensive production - looking at defensive play the gap only grows bigger</div></div>
It’s weird to word it; but imo, Makar is the better… talent? But Karlssons prime reminded me of the greats like Pronger Lidstrom (who I grew up admiring).
Karlsson was obviously a different player - but Karlsson IMPACTED THE GAME like a legend. I can’t say Makar won’t get there (he clearly looks like a legend in the making). But Karlsson quite literally made the Sens a threat and a playoff team. His prime games where things of beauty. He’s so amazing right now it makes me hope he can regain some of that lighting in a bottle just for the fans. He got injured and then a devasting dirty play from Matt Cooke derailed a lot of his career.
But prime Karlsson was nasty. And I’ll always remember this Karlsson hit, it was awesome live.
<div class="yt_out_cont"><div class="yt_cont"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JoRdaZ_UvA4" frameborder="0"></iframe></div></div>
Like Alfie said; bias aside. Karlsson was the best player on the planet for some periods of time. Not just a moment.

I also had malkin, Tarasenko, Svechnikov, and Tavares all to have O2.5 shots. So far Malkin and Tarasenko hit, Svech is at 2 and Tavares has 0….

Edit: He was the 2nd overall pick in the 2022 QMJHL draft.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>lol yeah it’s never enough to really matter, plus I made a ton last year on free bets so I’m always up money. I don’t know enough about baseball to bet much there, I just sometimes go with the homer vibes and bet on a blue jays win or something. Baseball is definitely the kind of thing an algorithm would help with, I feel like a smart bettor could crack baseball
Don’t worry there’s not enough skill on that roster for it to matter. They aren’t gonna be 17 points better than last year by adding Torts and DeAngelo lol, they’ll go on a 10 game skid by the new year
My parlay for tonight is McDrai both 2+ points, Huby+Lindholm point each, and O6.5 total goals in the CGY/EDM game lol (+500)</div></div>
I hope you’re right (not that it’s likely you’re wrong).
I’ve got a ton of parlays on team wins (some crazy 8 + teams and even one Michigan state plus padres plus Sens plus others) - also got Boldy and KK97.
Probably going to player bet the CGY/ EDM game cause I’m a monkey who never learns. Last bet I put Leon and it was Connor. Tonight I’ll go Connor and it’ll be Leon lol.
