Ottawa would be dumb not to accept, but they could perhaps get a better offer. Pretty good stuff here, @Arom5477 .

If Rutherford pulls this off, and maybe flips Maatta for a 1st, a prospect and a serviceable depth D, not only will PITT win another cup, but Rutherford will finally reveal himself as Satan "Destroyer of NHL GMs"

There’s a need for a defensively capable center who can let Phil handle puck possession and offensive pressure. Faksa could be that and also young and cheap. He’d be a fantastic compliment to the pens roster

DAL is Reportedly Pursuing Brassard
You're correct on the first two deals, but the third will require taking back a contract as Edmonton is just about near the cap ceiling. Perhaps consider taking Petrovic in exchange, and that should be a successful trade.
Otherwise your first two proposals are bang on.

I don’t mind trading Kessel but I agree that Pittsburgh is probably the perfect place for him. The only other teams that could get somewhat similar from him would be Edmonton, maybe Florida, maybe Wpg, maybe Anaheim, and maybe Washington. Those are the only teams with 2 quality centers for him

Matter of fact these same people talking about Kessel is gonna be traded......Pens organization...."we have no desire to trade phil"
Like literally that happened. GMJR had to come out and squash that trash click bait mess. But you over here, "it's all real, I believe it"
Fool born every day.
Hell you probably talking about how good that journalist of the year is, the one caught lying about all his stories and made up sources. Journalism in the modern era. But good luck with believing everything you read on the internet. Clearly that's working out so well for you.

Giving MTL A French-Canadian and a Finn
In fairness without bias, Pens are slightly overpaying here. Danault for Maatta is approx fair value. But Shaw for Brassard is a no show. As good as Shaw is playing and can be, he is role player. Brassard hasn't played well for the Pens but if you give him top line minutes here in MTL he'll blow Shaw out of the water. He is simply a better player. Everywhere else where he was relied on as a top performer, he has done an admiral job. CLB, NYR, OTT, etc
Frankly, it should be Montreal adding the 2nd round pick and I'd be ok with that. Replacing Danault with Brassard is fine which ever way you look at it for the Habs and moving a guy who is deployed as a winger in Shaw for a LHD like Maatta makes perfect sense from a Habs perspective as we are deep on the wing and weak at LHD. Don't know Pens depth and whatnot well enough to know if this makes sense for them or not.

Chicago trade is good. I think you’re ripping yourself off on the Florida trade. Maybe add a few picks on Florida’s side. Nice ideas, though.

BRAVO!!! I'm giving you 5 stars because your descriptions made it understandable. I agree with the other replies. That might be too much cap to be going to Vegas. But this would be a super fun trade to experience if it happened.

too much cap going to Vegas, take Ryan out and Tuch goes to OTT and its good for all, and PIT can resign EK, trade jack Johnson.

That'd be a crazy trade and Vegas and Pittsburgh would be favorites to meet in the SCF but idk if Vegas would have enough cap after picking up Kessel, Ryan, and Schultz. Would be crazy to see though!

Good deals, very interesting. But I'm not sure VGK would accept that deal as a Pens fan that would be great if it happened but Vegas wouldn't agree to that. Good job though.

What Is Guentzel’s Value To You?
Hanifin isn't bad comparison for value but young top 4 dmen tend to have more value than forwards but definitely in that ball park.
It would have to be an offer the Pens would be too stupid to not take for Guentzel to get moved. Like a package that gets you Hanifin and Lindholm from CAR. Now that isn't realistic for guentzel alone but that kind of package that would be acceptable. a top 4 dman and a young talented top 9 wing. Probably won't get that from a team but that is what it would take for Pens to move him as he is too important.

I think looking at picks and prospects is the wrong way to look at his value. He's too young of a player to be trading for picks and prospects.
Why trade a 23 year old who plays well for a 20 year old unknown and some draft picks. That seems pointless.
On top of it, Jake really has two values. There is regular season Jake and there is playoff Jake. One is a fairly good player, the other is sign him now.
If I were to trade him, I would want someone like the breadman in return. Fairly young, speedy and is a proven performer. He's definitely worth more than a 2nd line pairing player. I know I wouldn't trade him for a lot of teams 2nd line defense men.

This is a tough one. I agree with @Philly_fan1 . Noah Hanifin comes to mind. Guentzel is a winner. He's produced away from the HOF'ers too. Critics will say that the HOF'ers still had to face the shut down lines, but Jake's playoffs have been GREAT to watch. Is Hanifin about what you're thinking?
