Anytime someone has a down year or a bad series or the team has a bad year, trade rumors pop up
Look at Marner! Parayko! Binnington! Zegras!

Blues do the first trade, LA doesn’t
Edm does the second, Stl doesn’t

No blues accept this for sure. Schmaltz is great especially at 3.25 mil. Soderstrom is decent and would allow use to move Faulk if kessel is ready. The first should be in the lottery next year still. And can’t go wrong with seconds

eh i wouldnt call hayes "terrible" its not great nut like retain half and blues could probably get like a 3rdish for 2 years of him
Now krug? yea hes awful (PLEASE TAKE HIM I BEG YOU!!!!!!!!!)

Leafy McLeafington
Stl would need woll back since Hofer isnt ready to carry the starting job yet and Zhenko isnt nhl ready yet.
But TOR has no reason to give up woll for binner. Woll is ready to start, and hes much cheaper. As much as Binnington is great player and would seriously help them, theres just no shot TOR does this

Eh 3rd line is proably the highest he can reach but id say more 4th line/13th forward. He's decent but needs some serious development to happen if he wants a main stay 3rd line spot

I figured. Then i dont see Stl going after graves, simply because of how many dman they have it would have to be one in and one out

Eh…he’ll get hurt anyways but I’d rather just play Scotty P and let Krug be the 7th dman
He’ll still get 50 something games a year

Get Good Again 2025
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MitchJr</b></div><div>He’s had a good year, but hard to argue 2021-22 or 2022-23 weren’t down years (GAA >3.0, sv% of 0.901 & 0.894 & negative saves above expected) . Just personal opinion - very few goalies deserve term and aav > $3.0M; performance is too variable for 95-98% of nhl goalies.</div></div>
That’s very fair, I will say those two years our defense was a black hole, but 21 he was good, just hung out to dry at least once a game usually more
Last year, year he let in way to many softies

He really only had one bad year and one bad playoff series
Otherwise he’s been great

Doing All 32 Teams Realistic Offseasons Blues
I sincerely doubt Rosen and Blais come back
Signing Scandella to that means that DA is senile and should be removed
I don’t see a team giving up a first for Leddy even at 50%
I also don’t see NYR making that trade for Buch!, that’s a lot of assets for one year of a guy. I also don’t like taking on Goodrow but that’s a nitpick

If a team is proposing one of their players for Brady Tkachuk to get tougher , then it means ottawa is getting softer</div></div>
True but the title say soft players you’ve seen proposed for Brady
Not players softer than Brady. You are implying all these players are soft when they aren’t, they are just “softer” then Brady

Playoffs maybe
Blues wont give you a 2nd for dvorak but if you pay us to take him, i could see them taking him on in a 4th line role for a year if the habs really need cap.
Im sure the sharks would just take anderson if you pay them as well, no real reason for them to trade Vlasic unless you really want him
