Calgary Flames signed Rasmus Andersson (6 Years / $4,550,000 AAV)
He hasn't earned it yet but I like his potential upside. Will be interested to see if he can live up to this deal

Quoting: drewjenks

LMAO ... OK there bud.
1) All of the Leafs key forwards are already signed through next season.
2) All of the Leafs press-boxers are already signed through next season.
2) Anderson + Rielly + Sandin + Liljegren are signed through next season.
SIGNED FORWARDS
Hyman - Matthews - Nylander
Johnson - Tavares - Marner
T.Moore - Kerfoot - Kapanen
N.Petan - Gauthier - Agostino
SIGNED DEFENSE
Reilly - Sandin - Liljegren
SIGNED GOALIES
Anderson - Joe Woll
SIGNED PRESS-BOX
Agostino - Kossila + (Gravel or Holl)
2020-21 SEASON TOTALS
Signed Roster = 20 Players
Team Cap-Hit = $70,500,000
Salary Cap Est = $84,500,000
------------------------------------------
Remaining Cap Space = $14,000,000
Required Signings = 3 Defensemen (Dermott = $2,000,000 / Muzzin = $5,000,000 / Barrie = $7,000,000)
Total Cost = $14,000,000
And Toronto really doesn't have to sign Barrie if he wants too much money.
They could also trade Kappy + Hyman for help on defense or cap-space.
Especially if Mikheyev + Moore keep playing as well as they are.
Go check it for yourself though ... I mean, were definitely on the right website.

Here folks is a wonderful exhibit of someone taking a comment WAY too seriously. It's fascinating to see, but also quite sad at the same time. anyways, Moving on!!

I think its fine, Kadri will have a much better production in his true 2c role vs 3c last year. Plus the chemistry he has shown with Jost and Donskoi already, I think that line will suprise you (I am not sold Bura stays on that line)

Its not the strongest 2nd line in the league but its a massive improvement from last year. The top line carried the Avs to a top 10 offence in the league with no depth at all. Now with a passable 2nd line and a strong 3rd and 4th line the offence should be even better

Quoting: JayBeagleFanAccount

For a guy who is really carried by MacKinnon, this is way too much money.

MacKinnon's production exploded at the same time as Rantanen's. I don't think that's a coincidence. They boost each other's games a lot.

Colo Point Projections
So for the record, you're predicting the top 10 scorers on the 2019-20 Avalanche will score 38 more points than the top 10 scorers on the 2018-19 Lightning, a team that won 62 games, the most ever in a single season.

Yeah keeping barrie would give us a lot of scoring from the back end and a very strong right side, in a perfect world he would stay.
I think the odd man out is starting to look like kerfoot. With everyone we got coming up through the system, Kaut, Bowers, Newhook and now with Burakovsky and hopefully a free agent this year he is going to start getting buried on lower lines. His style of play is made for top 6 i feel like but he seems to be getting pushed down. We might be able to get some cap relief with him being traded.

Buffalo Sabres signed Jeff Skinner (8 Years / $9,000,000 AAV)
.
Skinner has averaged 0.63 points per game over his last 5 seasons (that's 51 points per 82 games).
He's also been a -56 over that span ... and he's a noticeably terrible defensive player.
Maybe that's why he's 27 and has never played a playoff game?
$9,000,000 x 8 Years .... WOW

ill just say it....hall isnt good enough to get this type of return. hes really good but a top pairing potential d man and solid middle 6 guy and patiently 2 1st round picks....for 1 year of hall and if you resign him youre getting him at market price which is going to eat up 10 million at least in cap. why not wait till next season and bid for him....avs are built to be great for the next 10 years why give up assets when they don't have to?
