LHD: Dahlin, McCabe, Scandella, Pilut
RHD: Montour, Miller, Jokiharju, Bogosian
For Chicago, it doesn't matter what side they're weaker on: Nylander isn't ready for the NHL. I think he'll probably be able to settle into a 3rd line role in a year or two, but it's very possible that's his ceiling.</div></div>
I was talking about the defense in both instances. To me, Chicago has 4 guys who can play on the left side plus Beaudin (plus 2 spear carriers) and 2 guys who can play on the right plus Jokiharju plus Boqvist, so it makes sense to trade someone from the left side before someone from the right. Now if one of Chicago's RD's gets hurt (or Seabrook shows his age), the Black Hawks start looking like the Ducks or Maple Leafs on the right side.

Sherry, Sobotka, Bogosian, Hunwick, and Perreault's contracts will be expiring simultaneously and the cap will be going up. That being said, Stralman, Myers, and Jensen this year are much better options. The following, Green, Barrie, Schultz, Spurgeon, Pietrangelo, Harmonic, Tanev, Faulk, and Vatanen will be UFA options. Wait a year. There will be tons of cheaper options.
