I'm kind of joking but realistically if they can't compete this yr it's just gonna get worse each yr. The team is so old. It'd be so fun to see Crosby do what Trottier did and join a cup contender as there 2c. Imagine he somehow went to Colorado for a few playoff runs.

he had 36 goals and 80 points last yr. The opportunity would be way too big to pass up.

Allvin and Rutherford have both said that the Canucks are only interested in moving draft picks and prospects who have turned pro. I don't see a way that the Pens would move Guentzel to the Canucks now that Hoglander and Bruzterwicz are unavailable.</div></div>
Kuzmenko would absolutely be on the table. Hoglander no your right he's untouchable for a rental.

I wouldn't want him on my team personally. Just doesn't play the right way. But for a team that wants a little offense sure. But Surely no one is paying much more than a 3rd are they.

Apparently Calgary is pretty high on Hoglander, according to a source I read.
Can’t see Vancouver doing this kind of trade with Anaheim.</div></div>
Firstly that wouldn't offset the cap coming in. And second Hoglander is playing way too well to trade. He's absolutely killing it in his role. One of the best value contracts on the team. You'd risk disrupting the team chemistry trading him.
I won't even ask why to your Anaheim part haha

Cup Run 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Gardoki</b></div><div>The issue here is Kuz. He has negative value and one more year on his contract and there would be tax for that. In this deal he's simply a way to make this financially fit for VAN, so to me either change that 5th to a 2nd, or remove Kiril and add a better prospect.
As I stated, Jake for a 1st + top prospect is probably enough to get a deal done with most teams, so it's Kuz that changes the dynamic of this.</div></div>
Fair. And the Canucks I think rightfully value Kuzmenko. We wouldn't give him away, let alone pay to give him away.

Podkolzin is probably one of their top ones. I'd prefer Hoglander if that would work. I'd really do Hoglander + 1st and call it a day. Let them ship off Kuzmenko to another team to make space.</div></div>
That isn't a bad proposal honestly. Curious that you'd prefer that because I would say OP has significantly more value. It's difficult to assess other teams prospects though I get that.

Hahah I love it hey. Like can't even hide the homerism of his proposal. One trade when you're acquiring a guy he's worth nothing but then when you trade him he's worth a 1st ++. Usually OPs make terrible proposals but they don't often out themselves as certifiably delusional all in one post.

You could prob get Kuzmenko and Podkolzin but I don't think the Canucks are going to upset what is working so well this yr. Garland has been driving one of the best 3rd lines in hockey.

legit or nah
Not the prospects to trade in my estimation. Def not both of them. Hoglander is just such a stud. One of the best value contracts on the team. And Podz I think might be the same as Hogs next yr. Could be a bit wishful thinking on him but people are righting him off a little which i don't think is wise. 1st, Brzuschevich, Kuzmenko is probably the best offer we can do I'd say.

JEEK
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>No, it's not enough to pry him out of there.
It's not a question of value. It's a question of both need and having their own long-term goals. Which none of this helps address or properly fills.
You expect us to just fork over our best center without giving us the means to offset that? Sorry, Raty ain't that. Whether fair or not, the ONLY way JEEK gets moved is if they KNOW they're getting a bona-fide 1C back. That means Petey. It starts and ends with him.
Obviously, it wouldn't be a 1v1, and Minnesota would have to add. But unless Pettersson is coming back Minnesota's way, they're never going to consider it otherwise.</div></div>
They'd be foolish not to. In a few yrs they'd have 6 extra young fwds or top prospects.

Roslovic is like the antithesis of a player that would fit with a team coached by Rick Tocchet and already leading the league in GF. Tarasenko almost is too but you could work with him maybe. Honestly wouldn't even give up a 1st for him though.
