Trade STL
This is horrible value coming back to the Blues. If you Schenn and Schwartz, it starts with DeBrusk and Carlo. There could be Dunn and Krug swap in there possibly, but there's no chance this deal is done.

Ya I never said it was a good trade for the Blues, I just said its bad for pittsburgh cause they are giving up a lot of pieces for tarasenko, who basically pittsburgh already has with kessel

None of these are good deals for St Louis. You don't just trade quality players and not get any quality prospects back.

But the Weber injury makes sense.</div></div>
Fair enough! But your blue line is already fantastic (among the best in the league IMO). You guys probably won't even have to start thinking about a Pietrangelo replacement for a couple years.

i dont see boeser being like a wheeler. wheeler is more of a power forward that drives to the net and is more or a playmaker than boeser. Boeser has more of a shoot first instinct (but still good at passing dont get me wrong), but i think Tarasenko would be the better comparason.

Parayko
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BluesGetTheCup</b></div><div>There have been like 50 proposals from both sides in the past 2 weeks alone. So that's why most people don't feel the need to throw out possibilities.
Perron is def worth $4 mill. Bozak is only 3 years, it's an overpay but fine. We barely paid Maroon anything. We have a ton of quality prospects coming up who have top 6 potential, hence why we don't need players like Kapanen or Bracco. Gardiner is a LD which we have tons of.
You're right in that it would take an overpay for Parayko. The Blues view him as a #1 d type and he's right on the cusp. He's a top pairing guy on a lot of teams. No one said Norris worthy, but it's not like Nylander is a hart or ross worthy either.</div></div>
They are both young guys with prominent roles on their teams with a lot of upside. Nylanders upside is probably higher than Parayko's but RWs are easier to come by then RHD at their age and potential. Which is why a 1 for 1 is a good hockey trade, but I do not see the Blues making this move as they have Kyrou, Thomas and Kostin all coming up and the need for a player like Nylander is less than the need for Parayko.

Parayko
Blues have no need for any of those players. Parayko filling the 2RHD spot is more important to the team then filling depth position or LHD with Gardiner. And the 1st ist is most likely a late one.

Parayko
Not a chance.
Parayko is too good to put caveats on which players/prospects aren't available. Imagine someone coming along and saying "Hey, we want Marner, but you can't have any of our top prospects".
You want Parayko, you're giving up one of Nylander or Marner, and likely a bit on top.

Wait. I thought you had to allocate 13% of your salary cap to goaltenders in order to win? I didn't know that you could sign Gibson for 40% less than Price's contract and still have a competing team. Huh. Weird theory. Wonder if other "teams" will try it out.

Blues de St Louis
Love the UFA signings.
Steen has a NMC he won't waive to go to EDM.
Parayko + a pick is fair value for Draisatl.
There is <strong>zero</strong> chance EDM gets Thomas for Draisatl--and certainly not Thomas AND Parayko.
A more likely offer:
--Parayko, Sobotka, 2nd
--Parayko, Allen, 2nd
--Parayko, 1st
--Parayko, Thompson
--Parayko, Walman, Barbashev
That's the type of return you might get from the Blues. Truth is, we don't want to give up Parayko any more than they want to give up Draisatl.

No need to retain, the contract expires when Dahlin's ELC expires as well. TBH, I think in my comparisons, I made it clear that this is much more than DATM gave up to get O'Reilly. That is why, even with the salary, I think Botterill would make the deal.

Thank you for your comment.
Because, little kids lose their teeth because they love to play the game. if you lose your love of the game get out of town.
Do you remember we were sold a bill of goods that he was a two way player. Can you tell me ONE other forward who is considered a 2 way player who only had 2 penalty minutes in a year? We were told he would bring character to the team, well he showed his character when he ran away from an auto accident. Finally, Zadorov may have been enough for him, DATM way over paid.

This team looks pretty good so you should be happy. Boone Jenner is good man, verry solid. He can do a little bit of everything. He played a lot of wing this year on the second line. So he can play up and down your lineup at wing or center.</div></div>

i know Kostin is an A prospest, but I had B prospects there before, I edited and added Kostin, because they thought it was unfair.
