I wouldn't do Lysell for hagel one for one and while other teams might be overpaying it doesn't mean Boston automatically will

why? chychruns statline outside of last year is a 20 point guy that cant make it a full year without being hurt. highest gp was his rookie year at 68. his best year was last year in which he didnt replicate that production this year. hes a nice top 4 left dman but hes not this generational talent everyone seems to think he is.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsTalk</b></div><div>I like him, I do not mean to disparage him. I would like him more on a bottom pairing in Boston. It depends who he is paired with. but you see him more then me.</div></div>
I honestly think he's the proverbial "hat on a hat" in Boston - you've already got McAvoy & Carlo at RD1/RD2, so he's more of a luxury at RD3 (similar to how he projects out on next year's Isles depth chart behind Ryan Pulock/Noah Dobson.) He definitely needs to be paired with a guy who can push the offense a little better - his time being paired with Andy Greene or Zdeno Chara has had some really ugly moments this season. I think he'd pair up well with Grzelcyk on the B's, if they swung a trade - I'd make the other pairs something like Forbort-McAvoy and Reilly-Carlo and roll 3 pairs instead of having that Forbort-Clifton pair it seems Cassidy tries to keep around 15 minutes a night

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsTalk</b></div><div>I would do Clifton and 2nd. Not Vaakanin that deal. I think Vaak can be at least a 5-6 on most teams. Not sure Mayfield is top 4.</div></div>
2/3 of his even strength minutes this season have been top pair with Adam Pelech - positive GF/GA ratio and pretty much even in shots/chances when they're on the ice together - and if anyone should know about how the Islanders' system works with regards to shot/chance ratios, it's a Bruins fan. Not saying Mayfield is a slam dunk top pair guy, but he's definitely proven this season that he can be a reliable top 4/PK1 type defender. Throw in an extra year of control at $1.45M and you can see why Islanders fans are placing such a high value on him.

A first plus a good prospect for Rakell, or a second plus a better prospect; Lindholm gets a little more.

He isn't "available". Teams have just been calling on him anyway. And since it came out that offers had been made, and everyone seems to want him, people just keep speculating on what a Hagel trade might look like. But I think, to CHI's actual front office, he is untouchable. BUT no one is ever really untouchable.

Chychrun
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsTalk</b></div><div>I disagree with your posts because more often than not they appear too elitist. You are too condescending. I know how the league works and I do not agree with overpaying. GM's might do it as well as you but if you think overpaying is good then great. I know you feel only your opinion is valid but many do not feel that way. So what are the other teams offering?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>My better proposal is already on this post. You can scroll up and read it.
To get elite level talent, you have to give something up. If you disagree with my posts more often than not, maybe its because you want the bruins to somehow fleece all these teams of their top players without giving up top prospects.
Chychrun led all d men in goals last season. He was top 10 in norris voting. He’s 23 and signed at an awesome number for four seasons. If you think you get that without giving up the teams top prospect, i don’t know what to tell ya, but that’s not how this league works.
1st, lysell, vaakanainen, and probably a kicker.</div></div>
full trade:
kessel @ 50%
Chychrun
Debrusk
Vaak
2022 first
2023 third
lauko
Heres my thinking behind it. kessel replaces debrusk at a cheap cost of a 3rd. eichels return was krebs a first tuch and a 2nd/3rd swap between teams. skip the swap and just send lauko. debrusk and tuch are comparable and krebs has a little higher value than vaak but chychrun isnt in the same tier as eichel is. think thats a really solid offer and if that gets beat yknow what im okay with it because im not sending all my prospects away in one move or one year. you could supplant lohrei into this deal and shape it a little differently but lysell isnt going anywhere.

He is still pretty darn young, and he is a legit top 6 forward on a bottom 6 contract for two more years. Also his play style is very desirable for any team in the league. So, it's not exactly a rational exact value, but the fact that CHI has no reason to trade a guy like him, so teams will have to over pay to get him.

For Hagel, judging from reports of comparable offers that have already been turned down, it starts with a high prospect and a 1st, even then you would still have to add. CHI really doesn't want him going anywhere it seems like. But maybe they are just holding out until the last minute. No one knows whats going on with CHI. They're pretty vague and most of their "being transparent" seems like lip service.

Giroux for Debrusk and a 2nd is a good starting point that might work for both, although I would see a fairly good prospect being included from BOS.
Braun alone probably gets a 2nd, and with no clauses, and retention and a RD, theres probably a good market out there.

He’s been playing better but if anything Pasta and Hall carry him on that line he’s still a 3rd liner playing second line minutes which the bruins have plenty of, they should be looking to upgrade.

I like Sabourin as some strength in press box if we need it, and Jarnkrok is a good middle 6 guy that can play anywhere, the rest is good.
