Getting Price out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>math731</b></div><div>No theres no way MB is paying 2 first cmon... Its either Francis loves Price and wants to pull a Fleury (and simply draft him) or Price stays in MTL for the rest of his career</div></div>
i agree it's probably too much,
i wanted the trade being so attractive as everybody says Price is untradeable,
but not forget those two first are probably mid rond picks and we receive second round picks too

Getting Price out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>math731</b></div><div>Seattle is the only realistic option since Price have a NMC. Maybe hed want a change of scenery close to home and also expect to win right away with SEA just like Fleury with VGK back in 2016</div></div>
That's what i think also.
There is the trade i prepared but not published
Price drafted by Seattle
Price lift his NMC to move to west coast, be close to family and rediscover happiness
Price 2021-2022 $11,000,000 signing bonus already being paid bring back salary to S2,000,000 for next season
Salary paid by Seattle
2021-2022 $2,000,000
2022-2023 $7,750,000
2023-2024 $8,500,000
2024-2025 $7,500,000
2025-2026 $7,500,000
Average over 5 years is $6,650,000, while the cap hit remains the same $10,500,000
Montreal add 2021 First, 2022 First
Seattle send 2022 Second, 2023 Second
This may be fair for an expansion team who will not spend to max cap hit.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Doigtdupeuple</b></div><div>Get ready for the hate.. You traded Gallagher and Romanov.. You'll attract some weird ones here.. LOL!</div></div>
I knew from the beginning it was controversial and crazy
It was a business exercice viewd from Melnick greedy side.
I love Gallagher Danault and Drouin and think we finally have a real competitive team.
I would not make that trade just after signing Gallagher.
Idea was triggered by the Base Salaries for 2020-2021
Gallagher 1 000 000$
Drouin 2 500 000$
Danault 3 250 000$
Crazy things happens theses days.
Happily we are just fans and not managers.

Offseason moves
If i apply your logic for Jonshon trade to Kilhorn trade,
Tampa should send a 2 round pick to Mtl and the Habs sends a 7 round pick,
afterall there is only 500 000$ salary difference

would be fine with me too, we have so many picks
note a small error, Armia is $2,600,000, the team was partly edited before today's signing of Armia and Lehkonen, add $200,000 to the salary cap

CH Edmonton Calgary
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SCGLisme2</b></div><div>Both Price_is_the_Goat and yanp007 said almost all there is to be said here. The only addition I have is the draft is in MTL next season so they will not be giving away all the draft picks they've acquired. If anything they are looking to get more picks for Hudon and Lindgren.</div></div>
Acquiring more draft picks, in my opinion, is like Bergevin saying to the fans, wait... and wait again... the future will be bright
and i will save my job for years to come.
I do not think Bergevin can survive for that long , he has to deliver.
Bergevin will not win any trophy for having the most draft picks.

CH Edmonton Calgary
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yanp007</b></div><div>1st trade, it's close to a fair deal, but I cannot imagine That Petry will waive his NMC for EDM...
2nd trade, Why Calgary will take Alzner?? They looking for reduce salary...</div></div>
James Neal $5,750,000, TJ Brodie $4,650,400, Total $10,400,400
Karl Alzner $4,625,000, Victor Mete $748,333, Noah Jullsenn $863,333, Total $6,236,666
Salary Cap lowered by $4,163,734
If Alzner is buried in the minors, Karl Alzner $4,625,000 - $1,075,000= $3,550,000, Victor Mete $748,333, Noah Jullsenn $863,333, Total $5,161,666
Salary Cap lowered by $5,238,734
Added to the current available cap space, Calgary would have than 14.7 M$ ( $9,473,292 + $5,238,734)
Is this enough for signaning all 4 RFA, i believe, but it's may be tight.
And I agree, Petry would probably refuse to move to Edmonton.
He may consider that playing with Nurse may give him better stats and help him get a better contract in 2021,
in Montreal he never had a quality ldefenseman on his left

My CH Team Ready to Go
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>VGKNation702</b></div><div>Yeah, trade Holden and Reaves. All that needs to be done</div></div>
I thought you would make a more precise answer, how do you fill the 23 roster with that money.
It reduce de cap by $4,975,000, if you add usable LTIR space of $2,605,001, total of $7,580,001 to spend on 5 players.
- 1 auxiliary goalie, can't be less than $800,000
- 3 defensemens, lets say all 3 signed for $700,000 NHL minimum salary
- Gusev, lets say $3,000,000, that's what a saw on a lot of Vegas armchair team
$1,600,000 under the cap, enough for spending on better defense
It's true, it's works.
I think Hab fans will see Suzuki in the line up in october.

My CH Team Ready to Go
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>VGKNation702</b></div><div>Please enlighten me how trading a guy on an amazing contract and proven 20 goal scorer helps</div></div>
For a trade to work it must make sense for both teams.
Vegas right wing is pretty well loaded with Mark Stone and Reilly Smith.
Center not that much. Nick Suzuki is a center and shoots right.
Suzuki drive the Owen Sound to the playoffs, and then scored 42 points in 24 games for a ticket to the Memorial Cup where he get 7 points in 4 games.
He has matured a lot sinde the 2017 draft (round 1 , 13)
He is ready for NHL, and if not fit center, could be moved to right wing.
Still over salary cap with a roster of 20, and already used $2,644,999 of the Clarkson LTIR $5,250,000, usable LTIR is $2,605,001.
Subban and Gusev are both RFA and will not sign for the NHL minimum salary of $700,000.
Gusev was the top scorer in KHL last year. He could have sign a big contract for SKA (Saint Petersburg), he will cost a minimim of $3,000,000.
I think Vegas need to make cap space with a trade.
Tuch is a good fit, we are thin on the right side and he is a tall guy while most of our forwards are pretty small.
Yes Tuch signed an amazing contract ... for Vegas, remember it was signned October 19, 2018, before his 52 points season (.703 p/g),
previously he got 37 points in 84 games (0.440 p/g).
If you believe its not the way to go for Vegas, you have an idea for the cap ?

CH WIN Ehlers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>weird_flex_but_ok</b></div><div>Winnipeg says no big time</div></div>
Maybe multiple picks, more 4 rounds.
Ehlers did not have a great year.
Montreal have a link with Ehlers, Drouin was a teammate with the Mooseheads, and Dominic Ducharme (assistant coach) was Halifax's head coach
What i see is Winnipeg has $22,872,503 cap Space and a 15 players roster.
Laine and Conner are RFA and may receive offer sheet, need to be sign now.
Seems like a new trend in NHL, young top players coming out of ELC want to sign 5 years contracts at 8-9 millions aand reach UFA at 25-26 .
Aho will get 8.5 M$, lets say Laine and Conner sign for 8.5 , it leaves only 5 872 503$ for 6 players

Vegas Cap Solution
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>chuck28</b></div><div>yeah sorry it's misleading how i wrote that but that is obvius MTL don't give enough , that is because the name of the guy who made this is CHfan55 so he dont give enough to receive Theodore even if he made a VGK side of the trade</div></div>
It is truly not enough, i miss a click to include 2019 round 2 (Columbus).
The idea was for Vegas to resolve their cap problem with nearly one transaction.
Maybe the CH would need to add one more prospect or even a better pick.
I built this team just to see if it was a realistic move for Vegas after having made
CH ROSTER SPOTS FOR YOUNG STARS
<a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1223364">https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1223364</a>
Vegas can't expect to receive equal quality NHL ready players when you are so much over cap.
Primeau was a top goalie in NCAA and would be ready at the end of Fleury's contract.
I agree neither Mete or Kulak are as good as Theodore.
Mete played 71 games, mostly with Webwer and shows a +/- of 17, third on CH.
