Based on recent draft history - with explanations
I think the top-10 is all plausible except for Montreal. I'm sure they would take Iginla or Catton.
As for my Kraken, I prefer Dickinson to Silayev but I wouldn't cry over it. They need to go D though.

Most Montreal Canadiens ACGM thing here, Habs fan posts super one sided trade on behalf of the Kings, Habs fans accept.

There's zero point in swapping Dvorsky for Lindstrom. And zero chance Jiricek lasts that long. If the Blues had Montreal's pick, it would almost certainly be Dickinson. But I cannot imagine them sacrificing Dvorsky to do it. They wanted that kid more than a year before the draft. He's the one they wanted all along. And they love him. And he's expected to have a shot at the roster in the fall. He's not going anywhere.

lottery
Write ups all make sense, I do think CBJ goes Silayev though with it having a ripple effect on a couple of other picks. I just think they have a stronger future down the middle and on the wing that they often get credit for, and while I like Werenski/Mateychuk/Svozil on the left side they definitely like a big guy who can defend well like Silayev

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Pat Verbeek didn't "have trouble signing" Zegras to a long-term contract; he didn't offer him one.</div></div>
Then why use Caufield as a comparison when there's that major difference in organizations opinion of their player? Lol
This is why everyone is speculating a Zegras trade, him and management are on shaky grounds.

Next season
Pass on one year of Mitch for a package that will likely set Toronto up with their top pair RHD for the next ten years.
I agree with the guy above, wait till next off season and see what UFAs become available. Who knows, could sign Marner or Draistle and pass Toronto as contenders

Let me guess, Roy and every other notable player doesn't want to play in Canada and will take a discount to play for the up and coming Wings team......the wings team that is mediocre and not trending upwards but spinning their wheels.

Yeah you’re right. Tkachuk just a ticking time bomb imo. He has the potential to put up 45 goals and 90+ pts very soon.

I would not trade Tkachuk without a Quinn, Reinbacher , Nemec, Boldy etc coming back . It has to be a good young player or prospect with the potential to be a top pair / top line guy

Seider has also been pretty underwhelming since his rookie year. Not completely out of the question that Reinbacher ends up better. I’m neither a Habs or Wings fan so speaking from an unbiased standpoint I’d definitely take Montreal’s young defense pipeline over Detroit’s
