Take a run at Duchene.
massive overpayment for Duchene who is currently not even worth a early 2nd rounder....

Blockbuster with Colorado
Absolutely insulting offer to Colorado. Flat out ridiculous. It doesn't help them rebuild, it makes them worse now, and it doesn't do a single thing to address their long term needs at defense. Did you even try?

What i think it might take to get tavares
almost all of these are a complete overpayment. Edmonton, NY Rangers, LA, Florida, Win, Tampa would NEVER do any of these even with a sign and trade. their fans would march through the streets calling for the GM's head

Bringing in Jarmo's past pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rangersandislesfan</b></div><div>in my opinion that is waaaaaayyyy too much for Duchene.</div></div>
Dude.... A bottom pairing defenseman, 4th liner, a B prospect, and likely late pick in a draft a year away is "waaaaaaaaayyyyy too much" for Duchene? An established top six forward with multiple All Star and Team Canada appearances and multiple .9ppg+ seasons. That's asinine. Columbus would run away giggling and giddy from this deal like a school girl. It's less than the Avs got for O'Reilly, less than the Jets got for Kane, hell, it's actually CLOSER in value to what Ladd, Shattenkirk, and Hanzal fetched as RENTALS on trade deadline day (prospect, + contract dump + late 1st) and its LESS than what the Rangers paid to get Yandle. All of that to say that your continued devaluing of Duchene in every single Avalanche thread is ridiculous and undermines any hopes at credibility you might hope for in your comments.

Ill just save everyone time and give his response. I dont think Matt Duchene is very good and is over rated so this was a fair trade for him

You gave up waaay to much for Ben Hutton and then nowhere near enough for Duchene.

Scary Good Young Team
No Idea what you're doing:
-Not interested in Boychuk at all
-No reason to trade Komarov, provides way more value to the team then another would be willing to offer
-Not sure why we're giving away an arm and a leg for Hutton then fleecing the Avs
-WSH doesn't have a 1st round pick
-Bracco will start in AHL
-Kalinin isn't NHL material
-Would think Dermott spends one more year in AHL

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>phillyjabroni</b></div><div>I woud do this trade in a heartbeat if I were Colorado. <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Scarecrow0902</b></div><div>You would need to give up more for MacKinnon or at least more then a A- defense prospect and a B- defense prospect and a late round 1st round pick in a bad draft year, and a late 2 in 2018, number one centers are he most expensive players.</div></div>
Both of the defenders that are being offered are of B+/A- value, along with a 1st round pick and an 2nd round pick, I would trade MacKinnion in an instance, if I was Colorado. I would terminate my general manager if he made this trade for MacKinnion, especially since they have Galchenyuk.</div></div>
So trade an establish good 1C for 4 pieces that have never played in the NHL....yes that makes a lot of sense. If you want to talk about taking a crap shoot on hope and futures that either Dman fully ban out to be a top pairing dman and unknown value in draft picks....especially the first in 2017 being a late 20 in a meh draft year.
Come on man think it through on the Avs side of thing. You are asking to move their Franchise center for all Risk and Potential with nothing being established. That would be a disaster

Carter and Duchene
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rangersandislesfan</b></div><div>In my opinion a number 1 defenseman, a top prospect, a 1st rounder and a 3rd rounder is too much for guy with 5 points in his last 25 games.</div></div>
For starters Hamonic is not a number 1 defenseman hes not even close. Secondly if thats the only criteria you use to evaluate players and trade value you have a lot to learn.
#1 he has a career Average of ,75 points a game
#2 His face off numbers are off the charts
#3 he has fantastic corsi rating
#4 Supply/Demand- He is in high demand and there is little supply a quality center like this. if you think one bad year, on a terrible team mind you, is enough to completely destroy his value... you are moron.

If you didn't answer the Avs' needs on defense then you aren't getting one of their top f's and in this case, their captain. This is an especially baffling lack of fit considering that it's Carolina making the trade proposal. The D piece absolutely has to be more impactful here. Your most underwhelming D prospect coming off a really underwhelming AHL debut just does not cut it.
